only after a league win
Swan on the bench because he's getting his batteries charged, also not sure on Franklin but i'll leave him on for now

first - should i be trading this week? if so

not sure of the trades

Krak -> Callinan (need an MPP in the mids), Harris -> Pendles (i know his bye is next week but he'll probably smash his B/E of 84 against Melbourne)

Krak -> Callinan, Darling -> Stevie J/Chapman (not sure which one, thoughts?)

those are the 2 that stick out to me.. can anyone see any better trades?
i'm keeping Foley for now, looks like awesome coverage if needed and if i need to trade him out to free up some cash and get in a premo later on then i'll do it

please any help is much appreciated!!!

TigersLair

stay away from players having byes during SC finals. You mentioned Chappy and Stevie J so they wouldn't be an option. You definately need to strengthen your forward line and upgrade in all positions except for Rucks. Ablett in the midfield and Fisher in defence would be good options. Rioli and Sylvia could be good in your forward line at the right time after their byes. lecras could be a smokey as he's now playing more in the midfield.

Ringo

Agree with Tigers Lair - Think you are 2 prems short in forward line and one in mids and def if classing Heppell or Lower as keepers.  Your choice who to downgrade upgrade to give you maximum benefit,  If you switch Krak and Mzungu you will still have the DPP to forwards.  (If you do noit Like Mzungu for the DPP then Prestia is alo a link) I would be looking to downgrade Harris to a rookie as he has peaked imo and then upgrade Krak to a prem forward, After WC bye and if Sandi is going OK I would off load Smith to increase war chest,

Bill Manspeaker

cheers guys, ringo mate you've opened my eyes to that Krak situation.. why the hell didn't i see that?

Harris -> Nicholson ?? (any better options?)
Darling -> ???

which premo do i get in?? bit iffy on Sylvia atm due to copping his first injury for the year.. dunno what's gonna happen there

Roughead is absolutely gunning it atm but can he keep it up all year?

Rioli has scored well but i'm still not sure on him for some reason

Fyfe i think got injured last week (still played on and scored a ton)   <---- best option??

are there any other players i should be looking at?

again any help is massively appreciated

Ringo

I stumbled across LeCras who appears to be flying under the radar. worth a look especially when considering 1st couple of games playing injured and taking out the 43 V Collingwood and only 75k more than Darling and may be a keeper for F7/8

Bill Manspeaker

i've seen about 2 W. Coast games all year so i'm not too sure about how he's going but TigersLair pointed out he's playing in the midfield more now so he wouldn't be a bad option, especially for finals

Melbourne (Etihad)
Essendon (Patersons)
Brisbane (Gabba)
Adelaide (Patersons)

should murder Adelaide in the grand final.. he's looking better and better actually the more i look at it..

alright so maybe Harris -> Nicholson, Darling -> LeCras??

thoughts?? do i stick with that??? any better options?

TigersLair

i would be carefull with Fyfe. Skinny body and may not hold up the back half of the year. we are already seeing signs of injuries. Gun player but i think too risky to bring in now. looking at the West Coast draw, the Lecras option looks very juicy. you have a few weeks to check on his form before trading him in. i still like upgrading to Ablett in the midfield and Fisher down back. you have enough downgrade options on your bench to make this happen before the finals.

Bill Manspeaker

i really wanna get in another Premo this week though as i have a top of the table clash this week and the guy outscored me last week.. and with no Swan this week and possibly no Franklin, i think i'm gonna need it

the upgrades i had in mind were Shaw down back and Pendles in the mids (both after their bye)

it becomes a question of Fisher/Shaw, Pendles/Gablett, and i really wanna slot Pendles into my mids.. the Fisher/Shaw one i'm still not sure on, i'll let that play itself out and whoever is looking the goods i will bring in.

maybe i bring in Pendles this week and just cop a doughie next week.. but thatll be 2 because of Swan.....  ahh man..

what do i do!!! :P

Ringo

If only after league win and a loss will still keep you in top four maybe just sit it out.  Alternately wait for teams to be announced and if unable to field full team then possibly trade.  Bear in mind you will have another 8 rounds to maintain your position in top 4 so if that means holding trades to improve teams after bye so be it.
To cover possible Franklin if not trading out I would swap Prestia and Krak and play Harris who will probably still get 60/70 points.
basically it all boils down to the Team structure you want for finals and sometimes you need to take a hit to strengthen team.

Bill Manspeaker

alright sweet mate you're right, i gotta think ahead. i'll wait for teams to be announced and if i have a full team, i'll leave it.

do i still go ahead with the Harris -> Nicholson trade to free up some more cash? or is there a better option other than Nicholson?
