Easy Questions (worth 1 point)

Question 1. Who is the only other player to play 400 games other than Michael Tuck?

Answer: Kevin Barlett. Who played 403 games for Richmond.

Question 2. Who Am I? I played 272 games for North Melbourne and Adelaide during the 90s and early 2000s. I kicked over 700 goals playing out of the most demaning position, Centre-Half Forward. My nickname was "The King".

Answer: Wayne "The King" Carey.

Question 3. Which Essendon full-forward controversially won the 2007 Goal of the Year by just back-heeling the ball through the goals from just 3 metres out?

Answer: Matthew Lloyd.  ::)

Answer: B. Jock McHale who coached 714 matches for Collingwood.

Question 6. During a match in 1993, Sandy Roberts whilst commentating a game was once quoted as saying, "There's a pig at full-forward!". Which player was this joke made towards?

Answer: Tony Lockett. The story behind this was that a spectator let a piglet loose onto the ground with "Pluga" and the number 4 spray painted onto its skin since Lockett was missing from the match.

A. Jim Stynes                      B. Brett Kirk                  C. Kane Cornes                D. Adam Goodes

Answer: Jim Stynes played 244 consecutive matches for Melbourne before a broken hand ended that run. Amazingly, early during this run, he fractured his ribs during a collision with David Neitz. Initially, the club doctor's ruled him out for 6 weeks. But Stynes was determined to play and wore a chest guard for the following weeks.

Question 8. Which player holds the record for the highest goals per game average in the AFL/VFL?

A. Tony Lockett                  B. Gordon Coventry        C. Peter Hudson                D. Gary Ablett Snr.

Answer: C. Peter Hudson with an incredible ~5.6 goals per game!!

Question 9. How many players have won 3 Brownlow Medals? For a bonus point (for each player), name them.

Answer: There have been 4 triple Brownlow medal winners. They were: Hayden Bunton Snr, Bob Skilton, Ian Stewart and Dick Reynolds.
