I know it is early in the week but from the AFL site:

HAWTHORN forward Lance Franklin could miss next Saturday night's blockbuster with Geelong owing to the calf complaint that kept him out of Sunday's 22-point win over Fremantle.

since I just got Sylvia in, as well, I am a bit annoyed...  >:(

The original diagnosis was 1-2 weeks so we'll have to wait and see, surely he'll be given every chance. If he misses almost all good teams have him so it just becomes a test of depth.

Imagine if you had Chapman, Franklin, Sylvia last week with J-Roo on the bye (I have 3/4), it can always be worse....

One guy in my league who was ranked ~350th before this week has:

Sylvia, Chapman and Buddy. He copped a Buddy flavoured doughnut because he had Chapman, Richardson and and Jippett

He also had Monty, Mundy and Jelwood in his mids and now dropped from ~350th to 1,623 lol.

After looking at his team, he didn't even need that Buddy doughnut but he obviously didn't think of it/know Buddy was uncertain... He could have Swapped Petrie into the fwds for Jipett, and then got Petrie's ton... lol

yeep same here.. i jumped from 845 to 1840 something..

had j.rewoldt, sylvia, chapman, franklin, richardson,  and monty in the middle didnt help...  god damn it!

I can also join the j.rewoldt, sylvia, chapman, franklin, richardson bandwagon. In saying that I beat Crawford on the weekend so he can jam it :) but if they are all out again next week I will be flowered for sure.

I haven't heard anything official on Sylvia yet, does anyone know/think he'll play this week?? I sure as hell hope so.. :-[

jvalles

I'm hoping they gave Franklin this week off so he could get up for the Geelong game...here's hoping!

Weagle

Hoping it'll just be one week.. but their description of "a little bit of bleeding on the scan" is very familiar to what they said about Rioli's 3 week hammy :(

FLOPITOUT1

I hope Sylvia plays, got killed this week with injuries  :'(  Please play Colin  :-*

PowerBug

They need him to play against Geelong if they want to win. I need him to play so i don't cop another doughnut and lose to a Geelong who boasts a midfield of Pendlebury , Jelwood , Martin , Boyd , DSwallow , Heppell.

Bennyy

Heard on radio this morning they did rest him with the idea of him being right to play the Geelong game. However it was also speculated the injury got gradually worse over the week so is a bit worse than first thought. A lot of doubt that he will play. Bank on him getting selected but yes you never know

PowerBug

Oh well move on. No use crying over it Trev.
