Need some help please

Hi all,  I'm a first year SuperCoach and loving it.  I find myself watching every game and really getting into it.  No chance in the big league but for me it's all about beating some mates.  Being a Dons fan I had the team stacked with 9 Bombers.  My first mistake.  I got rid of a few already but the bye last week still hurt me.  I have been reading some of your posts and found it very informative.

This is my side now.

Back. Goddard - Gibbs - Heppell - Grundy - Scarlett - Newman - Deledio - (Otten,A - Watson,M - Tape,S)

Mid. Pendlebury - Swan - Watson,J - Armitage - Crameri - Trengove,J  - (Swallow,D - Jacobs,B - Hine,T)

Ruck. Cox - Bellchambers - (Stanley,R - Tippett,J)

Fwd. Franklin - Goodes - Hardingham - Petrie - Krakouer,A - Didak - Mzungu - (McKernan,S - Pitt,J - Smith,I)

I have no money in the bank $2,000.  And 14 trades left.

Any advice from you guys would be fantastic.

I would consider this trade, McKernan to a rookie forward  (Tom Lynch or Winmar St Kilda, Callinan who may be back soon) as he appears to have peaked in value and upgrade Swallow to the best mid you can afford. Not having much cash is going to hurt but keep an eye on new players coming in as possible downgrade targets Howrad may be a downgrade Target in backs next week.

Thanks Ringo, that definitely helps. Much appreciated. I lost by 48 points this week. Looks like the Hird Honeymoon is over, bloody poor performing bombers cost me but will get Newman and Lids back this week also. Hope you went much better than me. Cheers, Mick.

I disagree, keep McKernan, he is like the only worthwhile rookie that has that F/B link, that you can use with grundy.

I think he did really well in the SANFL as well when he was dropped.

I think what you need to do is start downgrading and upgrading some of your mid pricers.  You might have to wait for Callinan now.

I would have probably used someone like Josh green last week, but I you've missed the boat on that now, so you just need to be a bit patient until a good rookie comes up.

Thanks CharlieS, that does make good sense with the Grundy link.  I had just been reading some of your comments in the other posts.  You guys really know your stuff.  I will need to be much better prepared next year.  Am learning, But it is still great fun though. What if I put Petrie ruck, bellchambers fwd. Then downgrade bellchambers to give me more cash for a mid when I trade swallow. Thoughts?

Just realized Bellchambers can't go fwd. Doh!

You can still move Petrie to ruck using Tippett if comfortable using him as second ruck. Then downgrade Bellchambers to Vardy or Bailey freeing up some cash.  Do not know of any other rucks about to play that could be a target. B eing a Melbourne supporter perhaps keep an eye on Howe as a possible forward downgrade target,  Concur with you about Charlie I am only a second year player and greatly respect Charlies opinions in this forum.  If Charlie has further comments about these moves be guided by him.

My scores have improved and I'm up to 5th in my main league which I guess is only a very average league.
Other league is pretty poor and I am 2nd.

I obviously don't care about this weeks score but maybe I need to get a trade or 2 in. 
I know I don't have much cover, so I need to hope for no injuries.

Do I try to get Fisher by trading Heppel out? Or do some work with the mids?

I have $83,500 and 7 trades.

Any ideas at all will be much appreciated.  Thanks.

Mids for sure mate, that's where the big scores are. I'd look at getting another gun in there asap for Dids. You'll need a downgrade though, so may need to gamble on Talia
