QuoteCOLLINGWOOD has confirmed plans revealed in the Herald Sun a week ago to send four players back to the club's pre-season altitude camp in the US to fast-track their recovery from injury.

The players, all members of last year's premiership team, are Dane Swan, Darren Jolly, Nathan Brown and Brent Macaffer, who will make the trip to Arizona early next week.

Better make sure we have bench players to cover for Swan

Quoting Dane Swan...

Improves recovery. Essentially they estimate that 2 weeks work equals about 4. It has a fair bit science behind it and is very common practice in world sport.

Swan will basically get a mini pre-season and should have a much improved tank.

Brown will be doing rehab there and should accelerate his recovery, with the medic staff at Collingwood not ruling out a finals birth.

If we make the finals hawk. Just keeping a lid on it.  ;)

The subtlety in that joke is beyond most Collingwood fans. I applaud you  :P
