chappy and scottland this week...  you'll need chappys points against Hawks, averages close to 120+.

reassess things next week, whether mzungu actually needed, because can get didak after the bye.

DONE

PiggyPommy

Can't get Chappy & Scotland :P

239k in the bank, Lower > Scotland leaves 96k left over...

Which is why the other option is Lower > Broughton and hope he can find 5 ppg on his 91 average for the rest of the year. But to me, Scotland is the #1 back and a must if I want to move up.

I can do that move but it requires 3 trades and Mzungu coming in, which isn't a bad thing given he is MPP and great cover.

I can do the following yes.

Lower > Scotland

Lynch > Mzungu

Next week

A Johnson > Chapman

7 trades left and a bit of cash over, 30k or something. Completed team and reel in the leaders!

You will need to break it over 2 trades.  You just got to work out the order that will yield the most points.

I see chappy scoring 120

I see scotland scoring ~100, ball will never be in the back half.

but then you need to take into account rookies, etc... so yeh

PiggyPommy

Yep I see what your saying. Itl be this week though as Mzungu's price and Lynchys.

charliesheen

You know what...  I had a look over some calculations, and I changed my mind, and actually think you should take a punt on the

Swan > Ablett trade mate.

Should have been done 1-2 weeks earlier, but I think it is still worth it.

Go for it~

PiggyPommy

I dont mate. I think its better to hold Swanny. Winning the 50k aint gonna happen over two weeks, theres plenty of rounds left to get there. I think the approach of a fwd and back upgrade whilst bringing in Mzungu to cover later in the season/byes is more important. Its better to keep Darling for a 75 when someone has a bye rather than a 50 from Lynch.

Thanks for the advice though.

charliesheen

lol its funny.

im liking your original idea more, and your convinced about my other ugprade suggestions lol.

i really like the swan plan, how many trades did you say you had left?

PiggyPommy

Well I did it, I went Lower > Scotland and Richardson > Mzungu, now just hold the 105k til A Johnson reaches 300k (-4 b/e @ 240k) and upgrade him to a Chappy type. Haha yes quite funny but you were spot on with your assessment of it not being worth it. Ablett may not even fire, who knows? Scotland is the #1 back in the comp I need him to win the cash and Swanny is making good progress in the USA. All signs are good. Lets see what this week produces.

Cox or Selwood captain?

charliesheen

Cox is safe as pick, given current form line and recent history.

Dean Cox vs Adelaide (AS)

Last 4 recent games - 166, 93, 149, 103

Round 2, 2008 - 146, 25 disposals
Round 13, 2007 - 134, 24 disposals
Round 2, 2006 - 128, 24 disposals

How other notable rucks have performed against Adelaide

Leunberger vs Adelaide (AS) - 122, 19 disposals
Goldstein vs Adelaide (ES) - 144, 17 disposals
Z. Smith vs Adelaide (AS) - 92, 20 disposals
Jamar vs Adelaide (MCG) - 97, 9 disposals

Notes: With Lynch, Darling & Kennedy as talls, who is there left to take Cox when he pushes forwards?  McKernan?

Selwood vs Hawks (MCG)

Last 4 recent games - 103, 136, 121, 153

Round 5, 2011 - 115, 32 disposals
Round 15, 2010 - 144, 30 disposals
Round 2, 2010 - 95, 22 disposals
Round 17, 2009 - 185, 42 disposals

Notes: Tremendous record against the Hawks.  If it is wet, would be hard to make an argument against going Selwood.

thats true.  honestly, I think there is strong merits to both ideas.  wouldn't be unhappy if you went either direction.

scotland is a gun.

charliesheen

I think Spite made a very good point.  If you were going to do the Ablett trade, you would not look at bringing him back into your team.

I think it has a lot of merit for people who currently have 5 premium mids rather than 6.

For example

Swan, Pendlebury, Selwood, Boyd, Priddis, Swallow < Mzungu, Jacobs, Iles >

Effectively you could do Swan > Ablett, then after the Collingwood bye, go Swallow > Swan (you need to bring the 6th in anyway).  So its really only costed you 1 trade.

Makes a lot of sense IMO for this situation.

PiggyPommy

True just for me I felt other upgrades were more important and Scotland is a good POD at the moment.

charliesheen

glad you didn't go gilbert so fail.  siposs out, gilbert played forward :(

Spite

Just saying that if you went harvey and ablett, you'd be licking your lips this week!

Hope every things still ok!!! :s
