What should we do with high scoring rookies?  I guess these players include Heppell, Darling, Mzungu (potentially), Lower.
1.Do we keep them as keepers on field?
2. Keep them as backup on our bench?
3.Trade them in (upgrade/downgrade)?

Well I'm keeping heppell as my d7 and my midfield link with Jacobs, lower plays midfield and is capable of big scores, mzungu is only new and darling is my forward bench cover as he scores well! It really is toughto make a proper decision, but it all depends on the make up of your team and your game plan i.e how many rookies vs premiums you started with?

I think Lower is good backline backup, Mzungu midfield/fwd and darling good fwd backup.  The one that i think is really tricky is Heppell.  Hes averaging over 90 as a defender which not many defenders are scoring this year.  But then again hes a first year player(could slow down), has a bye grand final time, is allready 370k so could easily do a good upgrade in ur midfield or defence.

I agree, heppel is a toughie because you really shouldn't have a first year in your starting team (with obvious exceptions). But I reckon his going great and with essendons injuries, they can't afford to rest him. Also provides a great link for midfield if you have a suspension or injury. Trade him out the last week or two and your finals problem is solved. IMO lower will probably get less midfield time once Barlow comes back in.

im keeping heppell until he loses form or i reach the final of my league

mzungu should be solid backup mid for rest of the year and im keeping krak as backup forward + link with mzungu and upgrading darling after this week when he smashes 6 past the gold coast  8)

+1 If HEPPELL has a bad game and a massive B/E he is out don't need his MPP and with Essendon having the bye in finals time he is probably going to have to go anyway. If you have enough trades left then it is an easy decision (depending on your current backline of course) but i would keep LOWER as backline cover and trade out HEPPELL if you had to make a decision.

All things being equal if you have $100k in bank you can almost get CHAPMAN and ENRIGHT for HEPPELL and DARLING which you would take every day of the week.
