With these new signings BM what do you think the team will look like when everyone is fit/not suspended?

This was the team against United:
                    Szczesny
Jenkinson - Djourou - Koscielny - Traore
       Ramsey - Coquelin - Rosicky
Walcott - van Persie - Arshavin

and this is how I reckon they will line up now (players in bold did not play against United):
                        Szczesny
Sagna - Mertesacker - Vermaelen - Santos
              Wilshere - Song - Arteta
Walcott - van Persie - Gervinho

Looks a much better team than the one against United, 8 different players!

EDIT: You could even put Benayoun in instead of Walcott

PowerBug

I like the squad looks way better than the one from "that match".
Arshavin doesn't make it?
Anyway, you said no injuries or suspensions and every team has injuries and/or suspensions so he'll still play for a while.

CrowsFan

Arshavin doesn't make their strongest XI in my mind. Yes obviously all teams have injuries/suspensions but always nice to speculate what the team could be without them :)

PowerBug

Well it makes for a strong bench aswell. I don't know much about the new players but i assume that Wegner would put the impact players on the bench.

Luigi197

IMO Arshavin over Wilshere at this stage; but yea, a much better team

BlackMamba

No way! Arshavin has lost the plot. I would put Rosicky ahead of Arshavin judging on the first 5 games we've had. Getting Benayoun was a good idea cause it will provide competition for Walcott and make him play well to keep his spot.

100% agree with the squad you put up CF.

Stoked with Arteta. Classy player. Carn the Gunners!

elephants

Wilshere over Arshavin.
Only problem with Arteta is his injury prone-ness.

                                        Cech

Bosingwa --- Terry --- Luiz --- Ash Cole

                                        Essien*

              Raul Meireles         ---           Lampard

        Sturridge                 Drogba                Mata

I believe this is our best 11.
*Mikel while Essien is injured.
Bench
Turnbull
Alex
Ivanovic
Ramires
Malouda
Anelka
Torres

Kalou doesn't even make the bench. Surely some of the best depth in the league or am i being biased?
Thoughts?

Nooooo! i love Sturridge. But yeah i guess that Torres will play CF and Drogba down to RW.

Well now that the window is shut I will post my United team :)

                    De Gea
Smalling - Vidic - Ferdinand - Evra
Nani - Anderson - Fletcher - Young
           Rooney - Hernandez

Bench: Linergaard, Rafael, Jones, Cleverley, Valencia, Giggs, Welbeck

Smalling has proven himself very well as a RB at the moment and I reckon even when Rafael is fit Smalling will keep the gig, he is a much better defender than Rafael, but still can get forward. Fletcher slots in to the midfield to add more defensive pressure than Cleverley, but I reckon Cleverley will rotate a lot with Anderson with SAF giving them both games. Also I reckon when they do play Rafael Valencia will also be played ahead of Nani because Valencia can help cover Rafael more than what Nani could. Welbeck will also be challenging Hernandez for the starting spot when he gets back from injury. A shame that he got injured against Arsenal :(

Is that what you meant CF? You had Nani twice.

elephants

A nani starting and another on the bench? Nice ! :)

CrowsFan

Haha sorry meant to have Valencia on the bench ;)
