Thoughts on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Arsenal? This looks like the "big" signing that AW was talking about getting done this week.  Is this the Theo Walcott Project II? Let's hope he develops faster than Walcott.

From what I've heard past few months, he's been sought after by a few of the big teams. He's got good potential although hasn't played at the top level in England yet. Bought for 12 Mil :o.

Bendtner is also on his way out from Arsenal, likely to join Stoke for 9 Mil. No defenders as of yet for the Gunners which is where they need the most help :-\.

Apparently Gary Cahill was scouted on the weekend by Arsenal and rumors is that Arsenal might actually buy him. The other one is Per Mertesacker, apparently Bremen gonna allow him to leave.

Yeah typical tight spending gunners ey  :-\. I wonder if Wenger is willing to take on headcase Joey Barton on a FREE transfer plus baggage lol. Anyways we need the extra muscle on the pitch and maybe with Barton, teams might think twice about shoving us around. He'll put out a cigar in the opponents' eyes if they bully us lol.

Gibbs very injury prone as is verm. They could switch and rotate between injuries haha.
Samba would also be really good.

I doubt AW would fork out the money for two CBs. He will probably get one of Cahill Samba Mertesacker or Jagielka but I just can't see the man spending 20m+ on two central defenders.

IMO this would be first choice and if Gibbs is injured Vermaelen goes left and Djourou goes mid. If Vermaelen gets injured then he will just play Traore IMO.

I mentioned Squillaci before. Why doesn't he cut it in a CD spot?

Squillaci has been in poor form since joining us IMO. From what I saw last year it looked like he couldn't handle the pace and physicality in England. IMO, atm Vermaelen, Koscielny and Djourou are ahead of him in the CB role.

Cahill, Jageilka and Samba are being looked at. Although Samba has been scouted by other teams such as Spurs (Swap with Bentley).

Read earlier Mertesacker may leave for like 5 Mil :o. ABSOLUTELY CRAZY!!!
