It saddens my heart as a Pies supporter but Swanny cost me my eliminator today  :'(

My opponent had Pendles and won by 35 - there was a 50 odd point difference so i don't think I'm being too harsh in laying the blame

He is clearly not right and his disposal has been ordinary to say the least

Question is:

Do I (we) treat him as an LTI (Loss of Talent Injury) and upgrade him to Pendles or Selwood or stick with him and run the risk of other similar losses

Thoughts?

shame on you for even thinking about trading out a DT gun. shame shame shame.

I'm lucky enough to be a non-holder but would suggest that given the VAST majority of decent teams have him then holding him wont hurt too much at all. The truly good sides (those with depth) will almost be advantaged by Swan-struggles especially if he misses games

Looks ordinary atm, had a spurt in the 3rd qtr but well below best. I'd expect him to miss bye, +1 week which as they say is the Sydney game.

If the pies are serious about having a crack at the flag swan, Pendles, Didak etc will all be rested even after the 2nd bye IMO.  Scary thought...

there serious about the flag alright and yep they'll all get rested in addition to the byes. Not to mention possible pre-finals rests (during DT finals) when they stitch up top 2. I'm now steering clear of pies as already have Pendles, Shaw, Krak.

I have Swan but I am very happy that he is scoring badly through his injuries etc. This makes people show some skills finally in an ability to pick a captain instead of going for the easy target in Swan.

^ it does add a certain flavour to the game having to sweat bullets over your captain choice each week rather than just going safe bet swanny :P

Is this something new to Swan is it?
I don't like the guy so I didn't buy him at the start of the season. Don't care if he's a dream team gun, he's ineffective. Pendles > Swan.

+1. I've always thought he's been amazing at getting the ball but overrated in terms of disposal efficiency.

+1... ranked well and haven't needed him... he's a lazy persons dt captain.
