8-6 Suited

After losing Ferguson in the 43rd over for 45 runs, it brought in Theron. His sole purpose was to hold up till later in the innings so thumper's talent would be at use along with his great batting for a keeper his age... Well as Theron was in late in the game, the lose of his wicket 2 overs after Ferguson was ideal.

Thumper came in and pushed us from 5/200 to a total of 5/241.

End of over 50 (13 runs) - Australia(241-5) RR 4.82
A. Trumper 29 (16b) , C. Carlton 41 (44b) , R. O'Mahony 10-0-48-2

Can't really fault anyone of our batsmen, they all performed exceptionally well in the conditions.

Now I don't think that is chase-able but we shall find out soon enough.

    End of over 3 (3 runs) - Ireland(7-1). 235 runs required from 47 overs. RR 2.33 RRR 5.00
B. Bundy 0 (0b) , A. O'Leary 4 (11b) , D. Cooper 2-1-3-1
2.6   W   Cooper to White : White shuffles to outside off while O'Leary simultaneously hangs his head in pre-emptive shame. Cooper keeps his line, and the ball cannons into leg stump. Goodness me.
D. White b. D. Cooper 3 (7b 0x4 0x6) SR:42.86

Cooper you little flowering beauty!

End of over 20 (3 runs) - Ireland(68-2). 174 runs required from 30 overs. RR 3.40 RRR 5.80
B. Kennedy 8 (15b) , A. O'Leary 33 (74b) , M. Coleman 5-0-16-0

Very solid first 20 overs. Only thing that would have made it better would have been a wicket or 2 more. Can't be too greedy though. :P

Result: Australia won by 67 runs
Toss: Ireland won the toss and elected to bowl.
Man of the match: Alexander O'Leary (3 points), Alfred Trumper (2), Darren O'Keeffe (1)

Despite getting 3 wickets, on N-A orders on a Crumblind pitch, Dwyer is out of my votes. Was just too expensive, on a pitch that suits him immensely albeit crappy weather for a spinner... It didn't seem to affect O'Keeffe though who was fantastic as was Cooper with the ball.

Batting was fantastic as well.

Ireland Australia
Batting - Top Order: 11,936 13,360
Batting - Middle Order: 9,722 10,270
Batting - Tail: 6,513 5,021
Bowling - Seam: 11,395 (4) 11,525 (6)
Bowling - Spin: 13,641 (6) 12,915 (4)
Fielding/Keeping: 11,078 11,822
Overall: 203,112 205,450

My Votes:

3. Glenn Archer - Was fantastic opening the batting with a workman-like 51 runs. 54 run partnership with John before he was dismissed, then another 65 or so with Holman set up a big total.

2. Darren O'Keeffe - Great bowling in his debut in the NT squad. Chimed in with 3 wickets but was effect on slowing down scoring and keeping it tight.

1. Ferguson/Carlton - This goes to both of these 2 guys for the tremendous work they put in when they both arrived to the crease within a couple overs of each other after lunch.

AND I REMAIN UNDEFEATED... Muahahaha :P

Fletch and I should be facing off in a match soon...
Q, I have just challenged Kenya for the 11th. We'll make it an U24 match ;)

Done  ;)

Q, can we make it that we can have 1 player over 24?

Jako has picked a mixed squad for the next tour, and since this game is being played on an Uneven pitch, I only have 1 player who is a FM or F bowler. I would have 3 spinners, and no AR's... :(

Nope.

That's a bit tight Q. He has a fair enough reason.

If I was Fletch and you said no flat out despite my reasoning why, I'd field a full strength attack just to spite you.

cookie311993

just do it fletch. he cant see reasoning in it then you play whichever line-up you like

Master Q

U24 is U24. Takes the fun out of it when a 28 year old comes in and kills it.

Now youa re just being a douche. It also means you can bring in 1 older guy. He has a valid reason for being unable to field it on that pitch so deal with it.

As I said, if I was him, I'd just field a squad of 27yo's against you for the lulz.

Q, you need to learn some compassion... If you were in my position, I would have said yes considering the circumstances, but you are heartless!

That is of course until you receive criticism, and can't figure out why... I explained my situation... I will play one 26yo AR fasty, you may do the same if you like...

If you can't handle this then you will lose my respect!
