8-6 Suited

I could probably only have gotten 2 of them to vote for Jako anyway lol I think GS is voting for Scotland and Rod possibly NZ lol :D Was worth a try though haha.

8-6 Suited

    End of over 36 (2 runs) - Australia(132-6) RR 3.67
W. Sellers 1 (2b) , H. Hallett 8 (24b) , P. Butterbutt 8-0-26-2

Both can bat but its just a matter of them actually doing so. Would be nice to get to about 180+ from this situation.

In the match currently being played at my ground:

    End of over 35 (maiden) - Canada(119-8) RR 3.40
M. del Taco 52 (115b) , W. Tomatas 0 (0b) , H. Blumenthal 8-1-27-0

Hahahaha Canada. Welcome to the Centre of Excellence.

A lot of wickets are falling tonight. Must be these new defensive orders...

End of over 45 (3 runs) - Bermuda(148-8) RR 3.29
D. Dibbley 0 (8b) , W. Suraj 4 (7b) , H. Aboobucker 8-0-34-1

Oh, it's now 9/151 on a Crumbler...

Dominant win for Bermuda last night against Sri Lanka. Chasing 152, Sri Lanka were going along nicely at 3/66 in the 18th over when our wristy Redemption bagged 4 wickets in an over to spark an amazing collapse of 7/4 to bowl SL out for just 70.

Result: Bermuda won by 81 runs

   Sri Lanka    Bermuda
Batting - Top Order:    12,989    15,800
Batting - Middle Order:    13,268    11,157
Batting - Tail:    6,222    3,406
Bowling - Seam:    12,898 (20)    14,175 (20)
Bowling - Spin:    13,621 (30)    14,794 (30)
Fielding/Keeping:    15,585    14,597
Overall:    237,114    234,570

Being in a tough group, this boost to our NRR could enhance our chances of getting past the group stage.

BTW - I have just been appointed Nat Assistant for Bermuda (just for the WC)   :)

Fletch74

Well done Baz BTW ;) Lets hope Jako gets back in :)

What was amazing was that we were 6/93 with only the tail to come and still managed 151 thanks to some strike farming from Felix in only his 3rd NAT match, 1st competitive...

The 2nd amazing thing is that Redemption, a wristy bowled a 4 wicket maiden in Humid conditions with average form :o

The most amazing thing of the night was when England were 4/60 and Pakistan were doing well last night, then their keeper came on to bowl and England ended up smashing 257. Pakistan checked their orders too.... Don't know what Ash will do about this one!

Lastly, bad luck to the Aussie's. A 5 wicket loss means they have to beat Sth Africa tonight, or they may come up against a tough Qtr final opponent.

Haha how is it possible for their keeper to bowl   :o   That is gold   :P

Obviously there are some serious issues with the new bowling match orders.

Ash has stated that for some some reason there were 2 players listed as Spell #5 in the database, thus it got confused and chose the first one, which ended up being the keeper...

Whether there should be a re-run or a tie, is the issue at hand now....

From the matches I saw there weren't to many high scoring matches

8-6 Suited

Considering it was a bug, it should be re-run. Or a tie at a minimum but I'd personally like to see it re-run.

Yeah nothing went right for us with the ball last night, Scotland getting a 99 run partnership together on Humid/Crumbling pitch despite facing an entirely WC/Elite summary bowling line up minus Hallett who I have strong disdain for. :P Sellers the old fart showed why he is so awesome though.

A lot of matches were on sticky/crumbling pitches, so not really a big surprise.

Even without that, only 2 games made it over 180 runs. One because of the keeper bowling issue and the other because they were playing the worst team in the WC this time around (Banga).

Fletch74

I really think there was a few bugs with the orders.

Ash has already stated that there were fielding checks not passed.

True, and most teams struggled to bat out their 50 overs, and I assume there would have been a lot of defensive orders set. It will be very interesting to see what ash does from here.

cookie311993

Wasn't exactly the start everyone was expecting from the games.

Bazinga

England won the re-run by two wickets.

Again, extremely low scores, although pakistan were bowled out after only 30 overs. Lets hope the bugs are fixed for tonights matches.
