Hi all.

Sandi has thrown a spanner in the works. Thats for sure.
Im an odd position and was thinking that some of you may be the same boat.
Here is a solution for those of you with both petrie and smith, with no link.

I will be trading sandilands to joel tippett. Leaving Cox and smith to do my ruck with petrie as coverage for injury or coxs bye. After sandilands returns, ill wait one week to see how he is travelling then upgrade smith to sandilands (for less than 100k) to run out the season and use MPP Petrie as coverage. Meanwhile I will used a chunk of the cash to upgrade tapscott to chapman making Didak my 8th forward (those of you that have read that article will understand). Didak will be able to cover my bye weeks troubles and cover me if petrie needs to go into the ruck. If any of you have bothered to read this far congrats.

I feel like this strategy provides me with the best coverage and may give me any edge in the overall rankings in which Im languishing just outside the top 5000. Thoughts?

Im currently in the top 1000, but keeping sandi theres no point wasting trades in getting rid of a premium to a rookie, supercoach rule - never trade a premium for a rookie!

Wishful thinking hoping that zac smith will push to 450k. You have cover I dont see the use in trading him. From 5000 now you most likely out of the overall too

Hahaha moron. Of course I dont expect Smith to get to 450k. Sandi is 410 and falling, I expect smith to get within 100K of him over the next month for an easy upgrade. I have plenty trades left and I hate having 400K on the bench for 4 or more rounds. Also I dont have enough coverage if smith or cox get a rest, hence the trade to tippett, so I can use petrie.

Also, I want to improve my overall, never claimed to have a chance at the title. Thanks for the optimism anyway, ass.

Unless you're American, it's actually "arse". Depressing how Americanized the average Aussie is becoming...

As for your trade, if you have plenty of trades I can see that being an okay move. But you could save yourself a trade by just keeping Sandi on the bench and trading your other rookie for Tippett. I personally will probably have to move Sandi on as I have absolutely no cover (and yes a "lol noob" comment is appropriate there :P), but if you reckon there aren't other trades you'd prefer to make (such as bringing in Jacobs, or upgrading to premium), then I guess it can't hurt. I have to say that the fact that I'll actually have money in the bank instead of absolutely none if I trade one of the rookies is looking pretty tempting at the moment... especially since there is some conjecture about how long he will really be out for... plus of course his bye.

It is a common injury in the NFL, rarely seen here. Even our injuries are becoming Americanized Possumo ;) . It will interesting to see how it plays out.

If Sandi is out till round 14 or 15 and then has the bye, that is 5-6 weeks out, out of 7. Not worth 410 while he is racking up donuts.

I already have Jacobs and used the cash to upgrade to Chapman.

Would be smarter to buy Lobe from port than Tippet, at least he will play at some stage and not much difference in
price and you get your mpp.

Actually considering this myself... but Nic Nat or S. Jacobs for me (byes aren't a concern due to my league opponents).

You live in the US? Wasn't referring to Sandi's injury, just the use of the spelling "ass" instead of "arse".
