Will L. Keefe play this weekend in order to cover Sandi?

So L. Keefe has been named in the side, but DT seems to think that he will be an emergency... my dilemma is whether I can rely on him to play in order to save myself trading in Bailey or Browne for Tippett, or even Sandi. I will definitely need the cover this week and the next (both my opponents in my league are strong and have either Smith or Petrie as backup), which makes Browne a fairly unattractive option with his bye next week, but Bailey perhaps doesn't have the best JS, and a sideways of Sandi to another ruck doesn't seem that attractive either, despite the fact that he might be out even longer than Rd. 14 (the multi-bye doesn't worry me, as I'm only concerned about league).

Should I risk leaving my rucks as is (Cox, Sandi, Keefe, Tippett), and make trades elsewhere?

Cheers

Wouldnt rely on either keefe or tippett... bad ruck setup but that doesnt help you does it? What about trading sandi to smith as smith's BE is still negative, no byes and sandi might come back cheaper.

browne and bailey really dont do it for me. maybe bailey - i think he has the JS but his knees are the issue.

Yeah I noticed he got injured on the weekend... if his JS is better that's a bonus though.

As for my rucks, as I mentioned in another post somewhere, I had to scrap together this team at the last minute while I was (and will be for the next year!) overseas. For some reason I thought it would be like last year when we didn't actually play a league match until Rd. 4... so I log on and it's already partially locked out, costing me Gibbs and Curnow who I ended up having to trade in later, and when it came to rucks I didn't even have a clue as to which rookies were playing, because I hadn't been following the pre-season... the teams I saw when I had a quick look on the forums here had Tippett/Keefe (not even realising Tippett was only useful if you wanted Petrie in your team) and so that's what I went with :(

At the moment my teams going okay, but I only have 16k in the bank, and 14 trades left. That's what makes this Sandi situation particularly difficult...

I've seen other's mention Smith, and that would at least put me equal with the other teams I'll be playing in my league over the next few weeks, but if I want to get Jacobs in for either Toy/Otten, that won't leave me enough to upgrade Tippett to Smith, forcing me to get rid of Sandi which might give me a bit of cash, but require another trade... then again I guess it is the safest option in the event that Sandi is out for even longer... and Smith might end up being decent enough to keep for the rest of the season...

Hmmmmmmmm :P

Anyone else reckon Sandi to Smith is a good idea? I'd noticed other's have said that it's too late and the boat has been missed...

What about someone like Sam Jacobs? Seems to have been scoring well...

If it is absolutely imperative that you trade sandi out, and you already have cox, goldstein is probably the best bet.

If you can afford the trades (which is partly dependent on how many trades you have left and partly dependent on how many premiums you still need), going Sandi --> Smith could be a smart move.
Smith will make some more cash and still score you decent points. And, by the time Sandi's back, you could trade them back. It's two trades for a fair few points and probably a decent amount of cash. I think it's actually the smartest move if your trade situation allows it.
