So both of these guys haven't been named, and although I'm not going to cop a doughnut, I'd probably prefer Jacobs to play over Smith, and have a bit of cover just in case. My problem is I'm not sure which to trade. Otten still has a bit of money to make, but since being injured has yet to come back into the side... Is he likely to return? Toy has made even less, but has scored poorly and may not make much even if he does come back in...

So, which one should I trade out for Jacobs?

Appreciate your advice guys, cheers.

I say Toy coz Otten will come back and make a bit more cash later on whereas Toy's cash making days might be somewhat limited.

I ditched otten already because i didnt want to cop a donut one week... he has been well down/injured and for overall thats not good. it hurt to ditch him with a low BE but had to do it. I've kept toy in hope... but he might get the ass too. both are on equal tender hooks. dont know enough about why gcs arent playing him.

Yeah that's what I was thinking...

Indeed I got the impression he is a pretty good player, but perhaps his inability to deal with the tall forwards due to his size got him dropped?

Leaning towards getting rid of Toy at the moment.

i think the reason i ditched otten was his BE had more potential than ottens but that doesnt help if he doesnt play huh. I think toy will get more games this year but the bottom line is both will and both wont score that well. you'll eventually ditch both for not much gain - thats the reality.

Yeah, but I reckon Otten has the better scoring potential... that's why I'm probably keener to dump Toy, but the extra cash from dumping Otten would probably be useful as I need to make some more upgrades soon... the cover I'm not so worried about, as once I have Jacobs I'll have two bench players that should be playing pretty much every week (my other rookies are Lower and Smith).

Think I might have to dump Otten then :P

Wes Mantooth

True... if you need to free up cash sooner then Otten, you are the weakest link...

60k from a downgrade is not enough, keep Toy and hope he comes back in.

Otten still injured so get rid of him

LaHug

Getting rid of both this week because I don't want to get rid of Duigan yet and gotta go a downgrade/upgrade. Yeah, only getting $60k from a downgrade seems bloody pathetic, but there's not much else that can be done...

In your case, I'd be getting rid of Otten. Toy will surely make more cash if/when he eventually returns and, although Otten will too, he's injured and will make you more cash with a downgrade.

Heh, I ended up predicting both of your comments last night and got rid of Otten. Made a lot more sense once I'd thought about it.

Yeah but in fact, as Otten was priced at 130k or so at the start, he has only made 60k or so either since the start. At least I got the money back though I guess :)

Oh and will do :P

Defn Toy, Otten will be back next week or the week after and by that stage he will be good bench cover.
Much better option than keeping Toy.
