Someone give me a reason to get him i know nothing about this bloke besides his huge breakeven and super scores

low breakeven*

Not worth it imo. He's a downgrade, not someone who should be in your starting 7 fwds. Mzungu over Lynch imo. I definitely won't be getting Lynch.

he is a talent and will contnue to play out the year. his high BE will give you instant cash asap...will go up 40K in his first week easy. should top out for 70 avg/270K = 150k in the bank over next 5-6 weeks.

Fenno

I could give you a reason to get him but could give you more reasons not to.

Hmmmm need a good downgrade for Tappy but im just not sold, he's a key forward isn't he ??
If he was a mid i would be keenish but unless your Buddy Roo Jbrown they dont score to well usually.

athletic key forward, pushes up the ground a bit

Im in the same boat, need a downgrade option, but given I have plenty of cash in the bank to upgrade my DEF this week, I can probably hold off and pick someone else next week? Thoughts?

He's playing CHF and Dixon will be likely to play the FF role. Should see him maybe push up the ground a bit. Not the most ready made player but can take a good solid mark and has shown good form 8). I went to risk with him as he's done well without scoring many goals. Kept his place with Dixon's inclusion so hoping he turns into a solid benchie for the rest of the season.

*Peace Out Pplz.

I'm in a similar situation. I wasn't looking to make a trade this week until I found out Enright wasn't playing. Now I need a down grade option for Tapscott so I can upgrade a back.

Pros: low breakeven, good JS, no more byes.
Cons: Costs 25/30k more than most other rookies. Thats 25/30k that could be used elsewhere. Will end up avearging the same as those other rookies that are 25/30k cheaper (he scored his 2 scores against poor teams), He may have no more byes but unlike a player like Mzungu he will most likely get rested like every other Gold Coast player has been, Basicly why would you want to pay 25/30k more for a player that will average the same as someone cheaper. Has everyone forgotten how good Mzungu was pre-season and the fact he didn't even have to go through the WAFL shows he is best 22. Think about it 30k is a fair bit you will get an average player for 370k but could get yourself a gun for 400k. People will say yea but he will make more money in the end (a) you shouldn't be trading him out again because by rd 15 thats the earliest you could trade him you should have your team set and if your team isn't set other rookies you have could be traded instead. (b) A player that is cheaper will make just as much as he will.

Brilliant write-up, I'd go as far as saying you've covered every relevant angle to the trade in a general sense (i.e. not taking anyone's team in particular into consideration). I think you've hit it on the head in point a). While Lynch will go up a fair bit early, he could well be tough to off-load particularly if you don't have many trades. Who to downgrade him to, how will you upgrade him when other cash cows will have peaked and forward lines are already getting stacked?

Going personally on my situation, I've got Darling, Matera, and Tapscott. Darling & Matera have great fixtures after this weekend and reachable b/e's, so I don't want to off-load them yet - Darling effectively covers Petrie who's covering Sandilands. As such, with no one else realy to sell, I'll just upgrade Tapscott to Chapman and bring in the dual position downgrades (for me, Smith & Callinan) who can do far more for me off the bench than Lynch.

If you were in a position to start Tom Lynch, maybe a different story. But if you're needing to start him over the next few weeks, I don't want to see the rest of your forward line!
