on the footy show polec did his knee at training out for at least 2 months

is it actually worth trading him? or should he just remain as one of the inevitable 'dead woods' we will all have in our team due to the additional subs this year?

Depends on your downgrade strategy. & trade exposure.  I had him earmarked as downgrade later in the year to complete my midfield (i.e. downgrade Polec, Upgrade Harris to prem)..

If he was $110K, I would say maybe keep him.. but at 180K, he is worthwhile trading out for a rookie thats going to go up $150-$200K by the finals (trade value of $220-280K by the time you downgrade/upgrade)..

Looks like he may be back much earlier than initially thought, may as well hold on to him as he might just be handy come finals time:

The reason Polec hasn't featured much is Vossy is not a big fan of his attitude.
Word is he came to the Lions after he was drafted and was strutting around being a bit too big for his boots.
Vossy is leaving him out to take him down a few pegs...

well then maybe he feels bad that he left him out and he's gone and done his knee! Penance enough surely? Straight back in when he recovers in a few weeks to kick 10 goals per game and shoot to 400K and win us our final!

Will be still missing another 4 - 6 weeks though so basically question is can you carry him for at least 4 weeks.
