Ok so this week assuming no selection surprises I am downgrading Lower to Jacobs and the upgrading Foley to a real premium.

Lower gets the flick as I have too many Dockers, i'm going for overall and he has an awkward bye and Stanley has already had his two byes so is a better bench defender for me.

And next week I will upgraded Harris to another premium.

I should be able to afford anyone this week and next so the question is who do I get over the next two weeks and in what order? (I.E. Ablett this week, Swan next week).

I already have Boyd, Selwood and Mundy.

I am thinking my last premium upgrade will be Swan or Pendles after round 13.

Monty then GAJ for me

My question would be do you really think Lower is the best one to get rid of?

Who else is in your backs?

Ziplock

Swan, Ablett, Pendles, Montagna, Thompson, Murphy, Bartel
Ablett- probably safer to use this as a trial game for him, if he pulls another decent score, hop on.
Bartel- No. Better cat options in selwood for the mids, chappy for fwds and enright for backs. You don't want too many cats come finals
Pendles- Has another week or two before he bottoms out.
Swan- Probably same deal as with Pendles
Montagna- You'd want to wait a week to make sure the saints game against a poor melbourne side wasn't a fluke. Even with freo's injury list in the mile high club, they're still a strong team to use as a bench mark.
Thompson- Seems to have proven himself this season, I'd jump on now for his low price, doesn't really need a trial game like ablett/montag
Murphy- God that's a tough one. Pretty huge average, some really really good games with only 1 real stinker in there, yet very nicely priced. BUT bye in the finals for carlton, and many have gibbs... yet, quite a durable player in an up and coming team. If you have the trades, yes.

So, this week (providing you'll be able to upgrade next week), I'd rank it as the following
1. Thompson
2. Murphy (if you have to trades to spare come finals)
3. Swan
4. Pendles
5. Montagna
6. Ablett
7. Bartel

Next week, if Ablett/ Montagna back up this week's score, they both move straight back up the list.

lower >>>>jacobs is a good trade, the only problem being that he is great bench cover. the trade gives you cash to upgrade elsewhere. who else do you have in mids/def to trade for benny

Windigo

Surely Lower has proven himself?

Has had sub effected scores.

I would find other avenues to get Benny.

I agree, I think trading Lower out right now is a shocking idea. Even if you dont think he is a keeper, his B/E is too small not to wait at least another week.

nostradamus

for more security swan and pendles but for great value montagna and ablett.......go with gut!!!!!

I have too many dockers - Sandi, Pavlich, Mundy, Mzungu and Lower. So Lower has to go.

I want a mid prem this week (and next) and I don't need the extra cash i'll get from waiting a week. Having said that I won't have enough if i go Toy ---> Jacobs.

I definitely want Jacobs this week (because of his mpp) and plan to start him as my 7th back (as Heppell has the bye).

I stuck to my guns and traded Darling last week and scored 2436, so i think i'll stick to my guns again this week.

Although here is my team if you want to have a look and find a better option:

Gibbs, Goddard, Deledio, Adcock, Enright, Rawlings, Heppell, Stanley, Lower, Toy

Boyd, Selwood, Mundy, Chapman, Foley, Harris, Hibberd, Wallis, Krakouer.

Sandilands, Cox, Smith, Tippett.

Pavlich, Goodes, Franklin, N. Riewoldt, J. Riewoldt, Knights, Petrie, Matera, Prestia, Mzungu.

*PS Swan has a niggling thigh injury so I don't think I will get him this week.
