Good on him he'll be a tasty cheep midpricer for next year tho

not so sure about cheap

LF

i don't either except hep and hibbo who will be gone by then.what i'm saying is its a long way to finals if he comes back to his form of last year and is pulling good enough scores why wouldn't you bring him in for the final possibly straight swapping him with again say stanton.that is what i mean.

Ziplock

if he's only just entering B grade, then he's some weeks away from AFL. That means that if he doesn't play much this year (which he won't if freo don't want to/ don't need to risk slowing his recovery), he could come at a ridiculously discounted price.

Barlow for 200k? I'd jump on.

LF

unfortunately don't think we'll see him that cheap again :(  and thats it the end of season long way off like i said above with all the if's he could be someones x factor for the dt grandfinal if they want.

Spite

Eliminator x-factor perhaps?

Cicjose

even at barlow's current price a 20% discount will get him at a price reduction of $91 240 to $364 960

still too high for a player who has only played half a season at this level

Ziplock

if he doesn't play a single game all season, it'll be closer to a 50% discount imo.

^ I'm with that. Excellent for DT if he returns off form, great 2012 pick up anyone?

Thats what you want...him to come back this yr towards the final rounds, score well below average (hopefully some sub games), have a stellar pre-season and pick him up again next year for 300-350k BOOYAH!

Ziplock

if he plays 3 games and only averages 70, bam, that's like 200k barlow

I reckon he'll get back to his old form quickly. He was so hungry for success when he got to AFL, just to play AFL and give it everything, and that hunger will be burning a hole in his guts now. I bet he does 100s of handballs in his sleep and slots goals when his gf is yapping
Cant wait to see him return. Dear god let it be round 12, when i'm in perth

i agree. he wasn't fazed or daunted from his 1st game last year even though he was a rookie. just seems like the kind of guy  that is mentally stong and he'll quickly get close to his best. remember that it's not like he had a fitness base of 3-4 pre seasons like most stars last year and was massive chance to win the brownlow before he got injured, so he should still deliver this year

But looking at how quicklly freo have "rushed" players back from injury (Mezungu) im guessing he will play for 1-2 games starting as a sub for the last 3rd of the year, and then for another 2-3 games finish as a sub which leads me to believe he will have 2-3 sub affected games wich leaves him for an average i think of around 60-70 for 7-8 games and priced at 250k for next year

the wizard

Freo is desperate for players. Barlow wouldnt be playing WAFL injuried. once he regains fitness and confidence he WILL play for Fremantle sooner rather then later. At the most he'd be getting a 10% discount and you'd think he'd be racking up at least a 70 point average MINIMUM. that puts him at about 300k for next year. but he will play and will come at a $350k price tag next year

Ziplock

mmm, I don't know, it'll take what, 3-4 games for him to build match fitness? By then a lot of freo's squad will be back. Then when he comes back to afl, as someone else said, he'll probably wear the green vest for 1-2 games, then the red for another 1-2.

so, best case scenario (for us), he gets into the afl rd 15, freo have a bye soon, so that's one round gone, so out of the 8 remaining rounds he could be sub affected for 4 of them. And, if freo have a consolidated top 8, he might even be rested last 2.

Sounds good to me.

will take a fair while to get back to his previous good form [if thats at all possible] next year maybe. look at the j pod and what he's done this year
