Help needed for team at the crossroads

Any advice for a first time team?

Back: Newman, Goddard, Heppel, R.Murphy, Broughton, Suckling, Puopolo (L.Thompson, toy, tape)

Mid: Swan, Pendles, Selwood, Watson, Montagna, Harris (Smith, Hibberd, Prestia)

Ruck: Cox, Ryder (Smith, Derickx)

Fwd: Franklin, Fyfe, J.Roo, Darling, Tapscott, Rioli, Higgins (Matera, Richardson, Callinan)

Now....

Obviously Tapscott is out and havent really seen whats happening to Higgins but Im about ready to murder him. Sick of Ryders steep decline and Broughton showed a bit more last week but still up for trade.

Problem is I only have 13 trades left and $15k due to a poor run with injuries and the need to get some wins on the board.

Can anyone give me any advice on what to do next? Need to start getting some wins on the board.

I would be very concerned with only 12 trades.  With Sandilands out for 4 weeks, having Ryder/Cox is not a bad thing.  I think your just going to have to deal with having inferior rucks, and just hope Hird changes his 3 ruckman plan or Bellchambers going down.

Your going to have to choose only rookies that are sure things from now, rather than speculative picks like Lynch.

I would consider going

Toy > B. Jacobs
Higgins > Chapman (Before he plays Gold Coast) and leave tapscott on the bench.

then

Tapscott > Mzungu (when he is on the bubble)
Harris > Premium mid (like GAJ/mundy/etc).

that will leave you on 8 trades, where you can just sit on, and wait for rookies with better JS.

essendon bye so IMO plan for cox, smith rucks for next 4 weeks like everyone else, sell ryder for max bailey  gives you 245 000 and if matera plays swap out higgins if not you have to upgrade tappy this week

All good tips, went the toy to jacobs trade, cant really get anyone of substance for tapscott so at this stage thinking chappy. I can just seeing him getting 125+ against the suns. Any thoughts on capt? maybe chappy?
