Anyone buying him this week?he is a machine and a ball magnet :)at $396 and a low BE and a very handy draw why wouldnt u?He will become a premium soon?Thoughts?

I've had him since the start and he's been great. Apart from one poor score, due to injury. Has a great fixture aswell, relatively cheap. Definately worth the investment

Bluke

A good unique option and that draw is awesome!

Get on him, he's averaging 108 and under 400k..whats more to say, i tossed up between him and pendles at the start of the year to replace Hayes and went pendlebury which i don't regret. but picking up scotty t this week definitely for my 6th mid. will down grade tappy on my bench to lynch and upgrade harris to him.

also their second bye is during the triple team by so no loss in league matches and their draw into the finals (DT) is stellar with gold coast, etc

I've mentioned this guy in a few other posts as he too is the no 1 runner for my 6th mid this week. His draw is perfect for league games and is such good value for money. Can score consistently but what i like most about him is his huge ceiling, kinda like a Colin Sylvia but fewer bad scores and way more durable (tho i'm loving Colin atm lol).

Having said that I'm torn between him and Ablett. Nearly a 90k discount on start price, coming off a huge game that may spark Gaz into some hot DT form to come (esp with Geelong match this week). Even though he's playing with schoolboys this year still seems capable of cracking hundreds on a regular basis.

Who's the better pick? Very tough call.... :o

Exactly the same boat as you mate....Its them to i am tossing up between this week and i think thompson may come out on top :)

The more I think about it the more I want him.  So much up side to having him in your team, and so little downside.  I have so many options this week.  GAJ, Fyfe, Thompson.  GAH!

Was going to trade Thompson in this week. looks great value and can pump out some big scores.
But looks like I will be bringing in Jacobs as he is on the bubble.
Sandilands getting injured, and having no bench cover (not picking Z. Smith has hurt me)

Taking Marc Murphs over him this round. Does he not cop the top tag? Seems to be in fine form though. Was in my team all preseason but I switched him for Mitchell (which I don't at all regret)
Not my cup of tea though :(

I'm jumping on this week; I've been watching him all year and now it's time for another midfield premium for my team

BillMurray

I've basically switched now and am almost certain on bringing In Gaz Jn due to following thoughts:

Considering he came into this season pretty underdone in terms of fitness with groin niggles etc this is about the time that he'll start feeling back to where he was with Geelong (in terms of running capacity). Even with kids around him when he's properly fit and going Gary cannot he stopped. That's a sure fact. I think he is still very capable of producing a 110 + average this year with GC. I'll take the 80 odd scores (thompson gets a number of those or lower too) and enjoy the games where he just obliterates from start to finish.
- He also has a good fixture (I like that he plays his old club twice) , no more byes, massively under-priced and can only get better as he plays more games. His uniqueness is just as if not more apparent than Thompson's too (good for league & overall)

And It's GAZ JNR! I miss not having the champion in my team haha

Thoughts on my reasoning guys?  ::)

i've had him since the start minimising my need to trade now i have a lot for the second half of season

BillMurray

Yes but i get him 90k cheaper and was able to use that money to have an extra premium at beginning of season. With 18 trades left, I prefer my strategy...
