Hey Zip can you please rate these 5 players 1-5 (1 being best) to see who will sit on the bench this week?

B, Jacobs
D, Harris
D, Swallow
T, Liberatore
S, Higgins

Ziplock

ok, so to clarify, I'm rating these players in this order
1. who should be fielded
5. who should be benched
just to avoid confusion

1. Higgins, 100+ player, last week he was subbed off for what I presume was because of the bleeding on his face. barbie will stop letting us down soon, playing port adelaide.
2. Liberatore- honestly, harris, libba and swallow are very closely matched, liberatore although wins through on the basis Hawks are a slightly weaker opponent than geelong
3. Swallow- consistent player, can bust out the ton, very good
4. Jacobs- playing richmond who are a relatively weak side, third game, he's found his feet, we all kno0w he's a beast and the only concern is his lack of proof atm
5. Harris- only sits down here because he's playing geelong, and returning from injury, otherwise I would have placed him considerably higher.

Thanks mate, that's what I was looking for. Just been wondering if Jacobs could rip out another 90 against Rich.....Surely not twice in two weeks.

Ziplock

I don't know, people would have said that about barlow, about curnow... people also probably would have thought sal santo wouldn't pull out 2 sub 60 scores consequatively as well.

Problems

Hey Zip thanks for the advice last Friday, hope work isn't getting in the way of your DT consulting  :P

In your opinion can you let me know who you think the top 7 fwds will be at the start of the DT finals fixture? Also if you could trade in any forward this week who would it be and why?

Ziplock

top forwards in no order: chapman, fyfe, pavlich, goodes, N riewoldt, Sylvia, franklin.

and this week, it would have to be chapman. He's been beasting it as the competitions best DT forward for a few years, can average over 110, is playing gold coast this week and is bargain priced. All aboard.

Rockyr

Hi Ziplock,

I have created a 2nd side to have some fun which started primarily with rookies and a very large cash balance.  I am down to $2.079M with 18 trades left and the following is my side:

Backs: Gibbs, Adcock, Duigan, Heppell, B Smith, Lower, Stanley, McKernan, O'Shea, Tarrant
Centres: Swan, Selwood, Hodge, Libaratore, Savage, Pittard, Harris, Prestia, Curnow
Rucks: Cox, Sandilands, Smith, McCauley
Forwards: Goodes, N Riewoldt, Darling, Krakouer, Rioli, Matera, Dixon, Richardson, I Smith, Tapscott

This week I am looking at bringing in Ablett for Curnow and Lynch for Tapscott.

I think that I have around 11 keepers (12 with Ablett) and about $2M to get 10-12 premium players.  This works out to an upgrade of around $200K per trade - even more if I use my downgrade trades wisely.

The side is just starting to hit its straps and scored 1946 this week.  I am currently placed 11th and only 1 win behind 8th.

Which premiums do you think should be my targets over the next 3-4 weeks?

Thanks

interesting, I ended up being forced to do this while covering a friends team (literally the worst team you could possibly have in my case)

your premium targets- chapman, pendles and montags over the next few weeks, maybe even thompson (adelaide) for your mids. All cheap players, will maximise your cash.

montagna and goddard should also be brought in ONLY if they appear to regain form, and then get them in asap.

Consider putting in fyfe (this'll be his last sub 400k week) for tappy?

thanme

Hey Zip,

My question is downgrade related. I'd really like to be in Jacobs in my mids, mainly because I have Heppell and Hibbered in the back, but I don't know who to get rid of.

Backs: Gibbs, Delidio, Heppell, Goddard, Hibbered, Lower, Stanley, (Puopolo, Thompson, Mckernan)
Mids: Swan, Boyd, Redden, Montags, Selwood, Libba, (Harris, Prestia, Krak)
Ruck: Cox, Ryder (Smith, Keefe)
Fwds: Sylvia, Franklin, Pavlich, Johnson, Goodes, Riewoldt, Darling, (O'brien, Dixon, Matera)

I'm thinking Prestia to Jacobs if he isn't named??

Also, I like the sound of Lynch, but a similar dilemma. Matera would be the first to go, but he still has some dollars to make. Worth it? Or should I let the ship sail?

My plan for the week after would be Krak -> Mzungu, and potentially upgrade someone (Matera/Harris) or hold off.

woooah, nice question, I'm going to ignore byes as well, and go by how players SHOULD be scoring, not how they are. And my bench players are going to be rookies from this season ftr and I'll be mpping as well

Def: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Adcock, Suckling, Scotland, Enright, Carrazzo (Heppell, Stanley, Jacobs)
Mids: Swan, Pendlebury, Selwood, Boyd, Mitchell, Watson, Rockliff (Swallow, Mzungu, Hibberd)
Rucks: Sandilands, Cox (Smith, J Tippett)
Fwds: Chapman, Franklin, Goodes, Pavlich, N Riewoldt, Sylvia, Fyfe (Krakouer, Petrie, Darling)

I know I put petrie in my bench, but hey, dpp purposes... just in case :P
I really like your team especially the 7 man midfield  :D

Ziplock

lynch may be worth letting the ship sail for, he's unlikely to be cracking out 90 or even 80 every week. If you were to trade for him though, matera would be your only real option, except for darling nobody has made nearly enough cash. I would say get jacobs in. If prestia isn't named this week, he might have to be the one to go, if he is however, then krakouer should be the one to go on your list for jacobs. then you can downgrade harris/ libba to mzungu, and upgrade harris/ lbba to complete your mids.

So basically, flick off prestia if he isn't named this week, otherwise drop Krak.

Are you going to do an upgrade? Because if you have the cash after the downgrade, definitely need to do a little work on your backline :)
