Quoteactually windigo, my advice has been pretty solid these last couple of weeks, I seem to have a knack for calling everything right that isn't to do with my team. That being said, I am human like everyone else :P

Very modest.  ::)

How long should i hold onto Atley, Richardson and Batchelor?

I would drop atley right now, to mzungu. He's not on the bubble, but he's going to lose you cash, fast. Batchelor's BE is still comparitively low, he has some cash left to make and I wouldn't be looking at cutting him off just yet. Richardson needs to go soon as well, he's just a deadweight on your team. Dropping him to Isaac smith (when named for 3rd game) could give you another worthwhile dpp link

Hey Ziplock, who should I get rid off first? Tapscott, LThompson, Bewick? Or Should I do a double downgrade?

Bewick should make his BE and regain the cash he lost for you last week. So, not him. If tapscott remains injured, he can warm the bench for a little while with no loss. Your priority at this stage should be trading thompson down to someone like jacobs, before he loses you more money.

in order
1. thompson
2. tapscott
3. bewick

lol, actually, if you honestly want to go through my past couple of weeks 'ask ziplock hours' it'd be helpful for me for you to evaluate them :P

I cbf, but it'd be good to see how many of my calls were right/ wrong :P

QuoteYes of course its better to think it through yourself. Thats why you have a plan before you post on the forum. A forum for me is to gather other peoples opinions and points of view.... can often put a different perspective on things or highlight factors you may have overlooked.

I think some people are definitely swayed by people opinions. Even if they DON'T like what they're saying.
That would be there own stupidity then. Its YOUR dreamteam...not a randoms on a forum. You ultimately are responsible for it - you hit the 'T' button, not them.

Yeah, your right, your mids look like they can wait, IMO your backs do look like the ones that need to be fixed as soon as possible. That being said, you're probably right that selwood will carve up this week, and that would set your midfield and score you 40-50 ppg. As I said, your backs are the weakest, but saying that, fielding jacobs and stanley will probably on average only lose you 10-20 ppg (considering how poor premium backs are doing this season), whilst selwood is from memory close to averaging 120, including his concused 20 odd.

Krakouer + Darling can hold you fwds up for a few weeks, if I was you I would go for those midfield trades, downgrade Bewick to mzungu as you suggested (as he isn't really showing much), or if I smith is named and you want a bubble boy, he's your man. Despite the weakness in your backlines, you're honestly going to be better off dealing with your mids first. Besides, completely a line gives a ridiculous amount of satisfaction, and those mids are going to be easily (with captaincy) close to 800 ppg.

So you're suggestion is, downgrade Bewick to Mzungu and upgrade Harris to Selwood? I already have I smith in my forward line. Would i then keep Conca as a back up mid or use him to either upgrade or downgrade?
If i use 2 trades this week on my mid then im going to need 2 trades the next week to fix up my backs leaving me with only 9 trades left from rd 12 onwards. Is that enough considering i still need at least 5 trades to finish off my team after those 4  trades?
I should have good enough cover for the finals seeing how i only have 3 players out of the 4 teams (not counting Selwood) that have a buy in the last 4 rounds.

Ziplock

well, jacobs *could* end up being a back keeper, if you give him another couple of rounds to find his feet properly, darling/krak can serve as a 7th forward, which only really leaves you with a single defence and fwd line upgrade to do. After that, you can play it by ear, if you think darling/ krak and jacobs are not doing well enough, then you can drop them. It'll leave you relatively tight for trades, but you're missing out on a lot of points by not stacking your mids yet.

Ziplock

and we're back into work hours, fire away if you will.

ziplock

my team as it stands, what would you do if it was yours

65,400 in the bank, chasing rankings

Gibbs, Goddard, Gram, Adcock, Deledio, Heppel, Hibberd <Stanley, Poupolo, Lower>

Swan, Selwood, Pendles, Boyd, Joey, Mundy, <Swallow, Smith, Jacobs>

Sandilands, Cox <Smith, Bailey>

Franklin, Goodes, Reiwoltd, Higgins, Knights, Petrie Darling <Matera, Tapscott, Richardson>

Ziplock

nice team, mids and rucks are set, only leaving your fwds + backs to really work on.

Without the jippett switch, petrie is moot and close to maxing out, subsequently trading out tapscott for mzungu/lynch would give you the ability to easily trade out petrie to chapman, who should carve up this week.

This leaves you with a far more consistent play who should be pumping out 100+ constantly week in and out, in comparison to petrie who will put out scores ranging from 60-150, with a significantly depreciated average.

although, if you would prefer to keep petrie as a 7th fwd (not the worst option), you could downgrade tapscott and upgrade either matera or darling.

Then next week I would be looking at downgrading lower/stanley to a viable option (should you see one), or another cash cow, and then upgrading stanley/ lower to enright, who should still be very cheap.

This'll give you a very close to completed team, with your weakest back being heppell and weakest forward being petrie/darling.

for this week I would be playing jacobs (dpp switch) and puopolo in place of heppell and hibberd.

Chopps

Ok some more questions a little more specific now

lower v Poupolo who to play?

the petrie swing thing may work but i am worried about rd16 crows, freo or melb

Higgins what to do if he misses again? i can cover him but its gettin fustrating

Ziplock

well, knights would/ could be an equally valid option if you want. It's just knights has been substantially more consistent this season in comparison to petrie, and it's not as though your fwds are packed with melb + freo.

puopolo. St Kilda (may) be lifting, and with freo's depreciated squad I wouldn't want to bet on lower firing again next game. While puopolo are playing the WBD, who the hawks should comfortably defeat, but still have enough backline pressure for him to wrack up reasonable possession count.

If higgins isn't named this week, and you have the spare trades, dropping him could be the go.
