Pendles is a better, safer option this season. There's no telling what Gablett's form is going to be against geelong and for the rest of the season, he has only had one good game (round 8) pretty much all season. Pendles BE is large, and IMO he won't be getting it this week, that being said I very much doubt he'll drop much in price, and should still pump out a respectable 110+ score for certain.

Gablett is a 50/50 unique for this round, Pendles is looking more secure IMO.

Your only issue is you're cutting D Swallow a little premature, but, that's no huge deal, as he won't have huge leaps and bounds to rise in any case.

If Pendles isn't going to drop too much should I jump on now?  This will leave me short come Collingwood's bye, but it will help me short term.  Alternatively, do you think it would be a good idea to upgrade Yarran this week?  If I trade Tapscott I can get any forward except Sylvia.  That said, out of the forwards I could bring in I would only want Fyfe or Pav (I'm going for league win, so the round 16 bye doesn't worry me.

Hey Zip, which teams prems should I look at getting in for the important rnd 21 matches...

Who will smash it, and allow me the rnd 22 week off?

STK v PIES, HAW v PORT, FREO v CAR, WB v ESS, BL v GC, MEL v WCE, RICH v SYD, ADE v GEL.

I want to start packing my team for this important week, especially in my mids.

Hodge, Pridds...

Ziplock

you're right, it does leave you a little short for the bye, however if you have a weak opponent that week, might still be worth it. Sorry, my eye slid right over yarran. Upgrading him to pav or fyfe (either one is good, pav is more consistent but fyfe appears to have a higher ceiling) would be a worthwhile move, your biggest deterrent for pendles is him playing geelong for the grandfinal, and keep in mind that fremantle have a couple of tough teams during the finals.

Honestly though, neither one are bad options. That being said, Fyfe is definitely on the rise while pendles is definitely on the down, so if you intend on getting them both some time soon, fyfe would be your man this week.

I'm actually in the middle of bringing together a group ff project (see dreamteam strategy 'this could be an interesting statistic' ) which would  give you the precise statistical data for this choice. I'm currently still bringing it together, but I should certainly have it out by lockout if you can wait that long.

If not, based on my current knowledge the obvious choices are hawthorn, lions, WCE

So, you're looking at as you said Hodge, Priddis, Mitchell, Embley, Rockliff, Redden. Shiels, Sewell.

out of those I would be looking hardest at hodge, embley and rockliff.

Hey Zip this is my first year doing DT so picking the right times to trade has proven a bit difficult. I've surprised myself though and I'm sitting 3,206 overall. I only have 13 trades left and have $165,900 in the bank.

Backs - Deledio, Gibbs, Adcock, Heppell, Goddard, Puopolo, Jacobs (Stanley, L Thompson, Otten)

Mids - Swan, Boyd, Pendlebury, Montagna, Mitchell, Conca (Harris, Bewick, Wallis)

Rucks - Cox, Sandilands (Smith, Cambell)

Forwards - Franklin, Fyfe, Goodes, Chapman, N Riewoldt, Darling, Krakouer (Matera, Richardson, Smith)

I'm pretty happy to leave my team as it is for now as i only have 13 trades left but im really tempted to jump on J Selwood as he is playing GC this week and is in very good form. To do that i would also need to downgarde but im not sure where?
I want to keep Stanley, Puopolo and Jacobs as back up back men so Thompson and Otten are my upgrade choices.
I was thinking about downgrading Bewick or Wallis for Mzungu so i have a DPP Midfielder and upgrade Harris to Selwood.
I have to get rid of Richardson and Matera soon but don't know to many young forwards. Krak and Darling will be upgarades but tempted to keep Darling.
My midfield could stay as is for now and i could work on my backs first. I'm a bit stuck right now.

Any thoughts and suggestions would be very helpful, thanks.

Yes. Basically those trades are solid. Jacobs is performing well, toy isn't getting enough games, while your backline is quite weak and needs fixing. So, yes, do it. Look to upgrade stanley rather than lower- after last weeks game he has substantial money in him still. Look at enright, he's pretty consistent normally but is in a bit of a form slump which means he is very very well priced.

If you're set on ablett it's now or never, if he keeps form he'll sky rocket, and you don't want to have to buy him for like 100k more. As with chapman, after this game he to is going too shoot in price, but you can probably afford to hold off him for jump one more week without suffering too much in the bank account. I would be going for pendles when he bottoms out, or is just starting to rise (next week or the week after).

I would be trading hard and fast to get those players in ASAP.

Yeah, your right, your mids look like they can wait, IMO your backs do look like the ones that need to be fixed as soon as possible. That being said, you're probably right that selwood will carve up this week, and that would set your midfield and score you 40-50 ppg. As I said, your backs are the weakest, but saying that, fielding jacobs and stanley will probably on average only lose you 10-20 ppg (considering how poor premium backs are doing this season), whilst selwood is from memory close to averaging 120, including his concused 20 odd.

Krakouer + Darling can hold you fwds up for a few weeks, if I was you I would go for those midfield trades, downgrade Bewick to mzungu as you suggested (as he isn't really showing much), or if I smith is named and you want a bubble boy, he's your man. Despite the weakness in your backlines, you're honestly going to be better off dealing with your mids first. Besides, completely a line gives a ridiculous amount of satisfaction, and those mids are going to be easily (with captaincy) close to 800 ppg.

LF

thanks ziplock                                            yeah i went a 3 rookie backline this year so it is the weakest part of my team.but you wouldn't have guessed that with it out scoring my mids this week lol.

:) Good work with all the advice Zip.

If we don't worry about prices or trades, what would be your ultimate Dream Team!!! including bench

Ziplock

woooah, nice question, I'm going to ignore byes as well, and go by how players SHOULD be scoring, not how they are. And my bench players are going to be rookies from this season ftr and I'll be mpping as well

Def: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Adcock, Suckling, Scotland, Enright, Carrazzo (Heppell, Stanley, Jacobs)
Mids: Swan, Pendlebury, Selwood, Boyd, Mitchell, Watson, Rockliff (Swallow, Mzungu, Hibberd)
Rucks: Sandilands, Cox (Smith, J Tippett)
Fwds: Chapman, Franklin, Goodes, Pavlich, N Riewoldt, Sylvia, Fyfe (Krakouer, Petrie, Darling)

I know I put petrie in my bench, but hey, dpp purposes... just in case :P
