this week was absolutely terrible for me. couldn't crack 2120, ranked 45,000+ for the week and overall ranking soared high, something which no one wants. I lost my eliminator, both my league matches and got booted off top spot in my school rankings. please spare some of your time to help a distressed dreamteamer!!! :)

my team from round 9:
Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Adcock, Enright, Fisher, Heppell (Puopolo, Otten, Toy)

Swan (C), Boyd, Bartel, Dal Santo, Bewick, Jacobs (Swallow, Harris, Iles)

Cox, Sandilands (Smith, Campbell)

Franklin, Goodes, Pavlich, Riewoldt, Higgins, Krakouer, Darling (Tapscott, Richardson, Matera)

15 trades left with 169k in the bank.
Bartel, Dal Santo, Bewick and Higgins all crushed my balls this weekend.

TRADE PLAN #1:
Round 10
Bewick -> Mzungu and Matera -> Lynch
Round 11
Swallow -> Pendlebury and Darling -> Chapman

pro's: get in lynch on the bubble, allow both pendlebury and chapman to drop in price and swallow and darling to rise
con's: miss out on I. smith, lose 50 points for not trading in a premium in round 10, retain injury prone Higgins and injured tapscott (leaving a bench with tapscott, richardson and lynch/ Higgins)

TRADE PLAN #2:
Round 10
Matera -> Lynch and Darling -> Chapman
Round 11
Swallow -> Pendlebury and Bewick -> Mzungu

pro's: earn 50, allow mzungu to be on bubble
con's: still retain Higgins + tappy, don't allow chapman to fully drop in price.

any feedback is appreciated and THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ THIS :D

Problems

Get rid of Tappy over Matera, he's injured and got a BE higher than a cloud.

Other than that, I like trade option 2 as it seems you're going for overall points

nostradamus

like plan #1, but with a tweak

rnd 10: bewick>smith & tapscott>lynch

rnd 11: matera>mzungu & whichever is the better option out of pendles or chappy

rnd 12: whichever out of pendles and chappy that u didnt get rnd 11

that way you make a bit more on matera, you get lynch, smith and mzungu on their bubbles, you'll have extra mpp cover
and you get one of pendles or chappy at an even cheaper price than you would have

TMurphBROWNLOW

I could potentially gain 25k if I go option 1, is it not worth it for the points?

TMurphBROWNLOW

@Nostradamus that looks better and would cost me another trade, think it's worth it in the long run? I'm a hawthorn supporter and
I've seen smith play he's a gun but not sure he'll get games on a consistent basis!

If you want my honest opinion don't double downgrade. Just pick one of smith and lynch and get a premium for the other. Like you said your team failed hard this week (comparatively... 2120 is still a sick score!)
you need to be getting in a premium every possible round and just cop the fact youre going to miss some rookies.

depends if they only played him as a replacement for rioli.......but l read somewhere that they are going to nurse rioli a bit and play him mainly in the forward line

and if thats the case, l think smith will get a chance to prove himself, hes mature age and hawks need his run......can see him being excellent on the wing

How about Tapscott > Lynch and Bewick > Hodge (as a quick fix Hodge will be ok as a 6th mid i reckon) leaves you with about 50k i think, then wait for your cows to fatten up

hodge is my favourite player by a mile, but I've already got underperforming midfielders already and don't want to take a risk (as I said some players crushed my balls on the weekend so I'm treading carefully now :P) bartel, hodge and dal santo doesn't sound like the best 4th, 5th and 6th midfielder combination!

I think your going to have to make 2 downgrades then to make the cash needed

TMurphBROWNLOW

I'll add another option

OPTION 3:
Round 10
Bewick -> I. Smith and Tapscott -> Lynch
Round 11
Darling -> Chapman and Matera -> Mzungu
Round 12
Swallow -> Pendlebury

ROUND 12 FORWARDS AND MIDFIELDERS:
Swan, Boyd, Pendlebury, Bartel, Dal Santo, Harris (Jacobs, I. Smith, Iles)

Franklin, Chapman, Goodes, Pavlich, Riewoldt, Higgins, Krakouer (Mzungu, Lynch, Richardson)

IMO option 3 looks the safest!

FLOPITOUT1

Yeah i like that 1 better

Yeah i like that 1 better

cheers :)
leaves me with 10 trades but at least 167k in the bank :)

Then you can wait for a cow to get big and juicy and upgrade Harris or Krak or even both later on if you still have 10 trades left or keep em as benchies and upgrade 2 of the others

TMurphBROWNLOW

yeah that's the plan or if Higgins goes down for a while... I'll have to hold onto him and then sideways to j. brown, fyfe, sylvia
