My team, best/starting 22 in bold
Backs: Newman, Scotland, Adcock, Goddard, Suckling, Hurley (MPP), Lower, Duigan, Luke Thompson, Everitt
Mids: Pendlebury, Foley, Kennedy, Sewell, Liam Anthony, David Swallow, Krakouer (MPP), Harris, Liberatore
Rucks: Cox, Clark, Smith, Fraser
Forwards: Franklin, Waite, Nick Riewoldt, Gray, Knights, Petrie, Darling, Tapscott, McKernan (MPP), Isaac Smith (MPP)

So far I have made 4 trades. Bailey for Smith in round 4, Otten for Thompson in round 6, Richardson for Smith in round 8 and Grimes to Suckling this week. I waited on trading out Grimes to see how the downgrade options played but then decided on Suckling because he was too good to pass up. I also moved Hurley back from my forward line using the MPP the week Grimes got injured.

I have 223,900 in cash available. I think my backline is set. I am unsure if I should move Hurley to my forward line again which needs work. I need to upgrade Mitch Clark who has been killing me, I am thinking Mumford is a good option. Tapscott was injured today, thinking of trading him to Mzungu for another MPP. I need to upgrade the midfield and forward line. Gray has been absolute garbage until today. I think I need to trade him out in a couple of weeks. Knights upgrade option would also be good. Looking at going Libba to Cross in the next couple of weeks as well. Any advice on where I need to upgrade, who should go and who I should look at getting in?

I am sitting well placed in my leagues and I am looking to win them both. My chance at overall went down the drain in round 1 when both Waite and Foley were subbed off. I am looking at finals with the players I have, so I am going to try and avoid upgrading to Geelong, Carlton, Essendon and North players since they have byes in finals.

Such a strong team with so much potential. So many $$$, and so many trades. Where are you overall? Might still have chances there.

Trick from here will be about buying value, and losing "topped out" players - but not after just 1 bad game. Have you got some thoughts on how to do that?

Agree with Pros
With Ruck I think Fraser at $292k is to valuable sitting on pine.  Maybe downgrade to Joel Tippet who will give you an MPP to swap Petrie to Ruck when needed.  Like the Mumford move as you are staying clear of the traditional Cox/Sandi ruck combo. Downgrading Fraser to Tippet should give you enough to upgrade Clark to Mumford,
I would look at upgrading swallow in preference to Libba as IMO keeping both Harris and Swallow now is becoming luxury.
With Forwrad upgrade target keep an eye on Johnno Browns value and possibly pick up in a few weeks time.  His B/e next week is still high due to low first round score.

Overall in Supercoach im 35,786; Injuries during games and my players starting as subs have killed me. Waite and Foley scored a combined total of 40 in round 1 which killed me. I have just been focusing on winning my leagues. In one I am 3rd behind the two undefeated teams at 5-1 and the other one I am 10th at 3-3. My team scored 2503 this round.

The only move I am looking at making this week is Mzungu in for Tapscott. Mumford has a high B/E so I think I will hold out on trading Clark for Mumford this week. Other players I am looking at trading out are Everitt in a few weeks, Gray unless he gains some consistency, Knights, Anthony, Foley (form), Krakouer, Swallow/Harris, Fraser.

Guys I am looking at as upgrade options: Cross/Boyd, Rockliff (injury??), Fyfe/Pav, Ryan O'Keefe, Priddis, Montagna, Ablett, Mundy, Swan??

I am also thinking Lake could be an option when/if he comes back into the team.

I want to milk all the cash I can out of Fraser and he still has a relatively low break even. I was going to trade out Libba just for the fact it was a straight swap between Bulldogs players. I am looking to downgrade either Swallow or Harris later on and pick up another premium mid. Brown could be a good option but I don't like it for the fact he is injury prone. He is someone I will have to watch over the next month.

So my plan has gone down the drain with injuries this week. I was looking to bring in one of Rockliff or Mumford who are both out injured this week. Everitt has been dropped, Smith is not playing this week, Swan who is another guy I was targeting is injured. I am not sure if I should trade Tapscott out this week or hold on to him for another week.

My team this round will look like this with no trades (bench in bold)

Backs: Newman, Scotland, Adcock, Goddard, Suckling, Lower, Duigan, Hurley (MPP), Luke Thompson (EMG), Everitt
Mids: Pendlebury, Foley, Kennedy, Sewell, Liam Anthony, Liberatore, David Swallow, Harris (EMG), Isaac Smith (MPP)
Rucks: Cox, Smith, Clark, Fraser
Forwards: Franklin, Waite, Nick Riewoldt, Gray, Knights, Petrie, Darling, Tapscott, McKernan (MPP), Krakouer (MPP) (EMG)

I am thinking I should make only one trade this week and that is Tapscott to either Mzungu or Tom Lynch(GC) this week. This will allow me to then downgrade Krakouer to Mzungu next week (both are MPP). The other option is I bring in Jack Redden instead of Rockliff who has been scoring well, is unique and who might score more now that Rockliff is out.

I am also worried Liam Anthony is going to start as the sub this week so I am not sure if I should start Harris ahead of him. It might be easier to make some of these decisions around 5 when the Sunday teams are released.

So since my huge score of 2503 I have made a few changes to my team. Round 10 I came up against first who was undefeated at that point. I was able to win that game even though I scored 2002. I had some terrible scores on the field but was lucky most of those guys my opponent also had.  I traded Tapscott for Lynch which gave me some cash to play with.

Round 11 I made 2 trades. I traded out  Liberatore who had been dropped and also had a huge break even for Ablett. I also traded out McKernan who had been dropped for Mzungu and the cash. I lost to my opponent 2186-2351. He had some huge scores from Bartel, Mitchell, Stevie J, Murphy, Goodes and also had Cox as captain which cancelled out my captain choice. Buddy was a late withdrawal for my side which hurt.

This week I played first again who was also undefeated. I made 2 trades again, since my forward line was going to be depleted with Waites injury and Gray on bye. The first trade I made was Fraser to Vardy for the cash. I did not think Fraser would hit his break even so I thought this was the week to get rid of him. Vardy looks like a decent 4th ruck choice. Next trade I made was Daniel Harris to Ryan O'Keefe. I was then able to use the MPP to move O'Keefe to my forward line for Mzungu. I won this week 2185-2048, with a league high score. My opponent had Mundy who scored 6 but he would have had to score 144 for my opponent to win.

I am currently placed 6th on percentage with 2nd to 6th all at 7-2 (1st is 8-1). I have 15 trades and $253,900.
Currently my team looks like this:

Backs: Newman, Scotland, Adcock, Goddard, Suckling, Hurley (MPP), Lower, Duigan, Luke Thompson, Everitt
Mids: Pendlebury, Ablett, Foley, Kennedy, Sewell, Liam Anthony, David Swallow, Mzungu (MPP), Isaac Smith (MPP)
Rucks: Cox, Smith, Clark, Vardy
Forwards: Franklin, Ryan O'Keefe (MPP), Waite, Nick Riewoldt, Gray, Petrie, Krakouer (MPP), Darling, Lynch (GC), Knights

I still think I need 2 or 3 more top quality mids, a couple of forward upgrades, maybe upgrade Duigan and Clark to Mumford when he comes back from injury. Any suggestions?

Ringo

IMO you have two much cash tied up in your ruck bench - I would downgrade Clark to Tippett and upgrade Swallow to Boyd. Downgrade opens up another MPP with Petrie. Smith at the moment is virtually performing as a premium ruck so that is why I would continue to play him as R2 and Vardy and or Petrie can cover Cox's bye.
