roo boys!

It's ok. They aren't Brisbane.

Hahaha if you are a Richmond fan don't get excited when we were missing a lot of guys who are walk ups: Watson, Hocking, Hurley, Dempsey, Pears and co ... In there are our 2 best mids our most important Player structually and our best back prospect. The other two are gone for some time but still they are all in our top dozen players.
Good win but if what I predict does eventuate we will se you again in the first week of finals ;)

Boomz

We really missed Hocking the most as he could have tagged Cotchin out of the match... Our forward structure tonight wasn't great & Hurley isn't going to fix that as he is more of a defender at this stage...  I really doubt we will see the 3 ruckman playing together much longer.

Alex7089

We can't my vote is to send Ryder back to rest at chb as he is good there, better than chf. Drop Belly and go. With Hille in the ruck due to a bigger tank. Bellya inability to chase Vickery cost us the game in the end. Then with Ryder back Hurley can go forward. Then when Pears is back Ryder can ruck part time while Hille rests forward.

Boomz

Ryder slacks off if he isn't playing the ruck :-X Hurley plays more like a defender... Maybe in a year or 2 that will change but I think he'll always be a defender that can play forward.

HillHero13

that's still another 4 weeks away for that to fully finish up with pears

put Ryder up foward but kick to flowering advantage!

Hille to ruck and foward with rotating Ryder.

was at tonights game and our inability to kick to a leading target is a weakness top teams will shut down easily, we are relying too much on our small fowards and when we enter the foward 50 we just expect Hille Belly and Ryder to randomly take it out of the air.

apart from the terrible match i like our centre clearences, getting out and quickly getting it foward instead of trying to set up and then put them under pressure.

me and me old man have discussed why people hate Stanton? but, now i know why! nuff said.

manning up is a weakness good teams will take full advantage too.

Essendon still have alot of improvment there.

I'm starting to feel like we are turning into the Freo of last year. They were top 4 for a good deal of the first half of the season when injuries struck us down :\
Anyway, for sure but I think Hurley is the link he provides an option a little further out and spreads the opposition defence a bit more so we can get more 1 on 1s. a lot easier to kick to advantage with 4 guys leading at you in 1 on 1 contests.

I know Hurley may be better down back but right now it is important for the team and the structure that he performs up forward.

when i said we are relying on our small fowards

Freo were a better side in 2010 than Essendon are in 2011. Freo have a couple of genuine Champions and Essendon have none (they are a young side & this will change but i'm talking right now). Also before Essendon get too excited I'm not sure they have beaten anyone above them on the ladder, that is when you get excited.

Still the Dons should be generally satisfied, just being beaten by Richmond is a nasty result.

was always on the cards after the Tiges copped a belting last week, still the Bombers put up a fight in the last qtr when it looked like they had layed down mid 3rd... cant say enough about the courage of Cotchin and Rance down back was stellar, as a footy fan im loving watching Tiger games at the moment, playing on and using the corridor high risk high reward footy has the yellow and black faithful up an about for the first time in a long time and its great for footy 8)

I agree. We aren't as good as Freo were last year. We drew with Carlton 2 down, I saw that as a win myself. Other than that (prior to round 9) we have only played Collingwood above us.
We aren't top 4 material and I can accept that.

roo boys!
