Carlton are the only other team I see as real flag contenders - so long as Judd stays fit. Without Judd they will be top 6 but wont challenge the top 2 (collingwood and geelong)

Hawthorn dont have a strong enough defence or ruck to be genuine contenders IMO. Essendon will be contenders next year, they should win a final this year.

judd is the most overrated footballer ever to grace this planet. how he won that brownlow last yr is beyond me.

im guessing you didnt see that last quarter of football against sydney, which was one of the best captains performances in a single quarter ever.
and he won the brownlow because he is easily the best player for carlton (murphy, walker, garlett, jamison have really lifted this year to bridge the gap) and therefore when carlton win he usually polls the three
to counter what you said about the free kicks, judd has been given 15 this year (average of ~2 per game), and when you are a contested football winner like judd is, the umpires reward you (just like selwood, jude bolton being at the top of the frees for list with 22 each before this round)

Judd had 27 touches, 5 tackles, 1 goal.

Guess who got the 3....everyones hero, judd.

Round 7. Judd 3 votes, ahead of russell (1 vote) 35 touches and betts (2 votes) 21 touches, 5 goals.
Judd? 24 touches, 1 goal.

the pattern continues like that for the rest of the season.

Collingwood win/loss 2010: 17-1-4
Geelong win/loss 2010: 17-0-5
Carlton win/loss 2010: 11-0-11

Swan ave 32 touches. 24 goals.
Ablett ave 32 touches. 44 goals.
Judd ave 27 touches. 14 goals.

I bet swan and ablett had better disposal effeciency than judd as well.
