is he a good pickup for curnow

If you have either Bartel or Selwood in your mids I'd say no... but if you dont have a geelong mid then seems a good buy.

I'm more inclined to go Hodge for 30k cheaper.

I love Joel Corey as a player and he's served me well in the past but there's better Geelong players and they've got the late bye so I'd just buy Hodge instead (and I did!).
