Pendles... Just 1 Year?

He signed in 2007 for 3 years, then again in 2010 for another year. And yet again signed for 1 more year to tie him up to the end of 2012. Dane Swan has done pretty much the same thing. 3 years back in 2007 then 1 more year and so on. Not a lot we can do because in 2012 is the year of free agents. This does not mean they both won't play for the Pies. It just means they are giving themselves options for when this occurs.

I personally believe it is tied to Micky M. He wont be Senior coach in 2012 and I can seriously see Micky going to the Dees. Most of Pies players love being under the guidance of Micky M and if he isn't there well can you blame them for leaving themselves open? This is why I think they have not signed further.

It probably has something to do with a new coach but I doubt they would do it to follow mick... More likely leaving the door ajar to go to  GWS...

I'm fine with Pendles leaving if he plays in three Premierships one of which he captains.

In fact after three flags I'm happy that the Pies take a year off and let everyone go!

i know the stereo-type is Pies players and supporters being 'rough' but he really loooked like he was trying to be mutton dressed up as lamb! he had the 'badger' thing going with his eyeliner and everything!!   ;)

I don;t tend to watch the footy show anymore so I missed it but I don;t care if Cloke turns up in high heels, a tutu and a flowing blonde wig as long as when he steps on the field he continues to dominate.

Yeah he is in until 2014, I meant he did a similar thing to pentles, as in the 2007 to 2010 then 1 year before resigning. Sorry for the confusion.

agreed, i have several Pie fans i banter with and surprisingly when we were saluting Fev i threw the idea up of Cloke for Fev straight swap, 1 said u can have him he is shower and the other 3 agreed it would be a good deal... i was hoping like hell the Pies would offer him up could have been an absolute steal, bloke has a massive tank and is clearly the best kick in the Cloke family :P
