wearing a helmet isn't really being a soft cock, if it doesn't affect your playing, why wouldn't you wear one? Throwing yourself on the line to get the ball courageously is one thing, but you don't set out to get injured... If a helmet can decrease your odds of injury even a little, I'd be wearing one.
