Ablett does not match him in every other area, first of all ablett cant kick 100 times beter than selwood and guys like hill are beter kicks than ablett but you wouldnt even think of comparing the two. Selwood is proving this year how good a player he is and is porbably contesting with Judd at this stage for the brownlow. Sure Ablett is a great player but so too is selwood and for you to say selwood is beter at every other aspect of the game makes your point invalid.

matches him implies he is as least as good as in every other area, or were you implying they are the same in everything else. . I can read very well, maybee you need to use your words more clearly.

Its very fair to say Selwood is your favourite player, but maybe less fair to say he is better than Ablett at this stage. Can Selwood get 41 touches 13 clearences and 4 goals in a losing side? i dont think so. But this doesnt mean he cant be your favourite player not from your club. I would like to find an area where Selwood is better than Ablett at this stage.

first off im not actually a fan of selwood, i just think he is a really good player and no selwood cant do that in a losing side but the main reason for that is that he doesn't really play in losing sides, what has he had around 10 losing games. PLus it is much easier to rack up stats when you are one of the only good players in the team wheras selwood has always had stars around him, if selwood had gone to any other club i think he would be rated much higher. Ablett is a great player and i respect that you think he is better but i would happen to disagree. Selwood isnt my favourite and i think he is better than all of my favourite players besides judd.

Interesting question though. Would you rather have Gary Ablett Snr and Junior in your team or all of the Selwood brothers?

I'd go Sr. and Jr. for the fact you get one of the Legendary forwards of the game instead of all midfielders :P. Joel, Adam and Scott in a few seasons are great but compared with Sr. and Jr. I'd say it's easy for me to decide ;D.

I'd take the selenite. Joel will runnfree as none of the abletts can tag and Scott and Adam will tag snr and jnr. Then the other one Troy (delisted by the lions) will make up the bench as an integral part of the selwood rotation!

But Ablett dominated even more in the Geelong team? even coach Scott said they do not have one player capable of filling Abletts role when he left they all have to do it together. I love Selwood i went to school with him at CCB but i just Feel Ablett is a tad better.

HP Selwood is tougher leadership ye your probably right there although i think Ablett is a good leader too. tackling? havnt got the stats on me but off the top of my head they are very very similar
