Doogie

Interested to see at this stage of the season who everyone is going to have as bench cover keepers..

Mine ATM is:

Back: Heppel

Mid: Harris

Ruck: Smith

Forward: Darling

May change as the season progresses but at the moment these blokes look like good cover

Thoughts?

Joshy11

Back: Otten
Mid: Harris
Ruck: Smith
Fwd: T.Lynch

Will keep heppel and darling for a long while but will need to trade come finals time and use all that cash for some prems :)

Doogie

thats the dilemma, piss em off for cash or keep em for cover..

But could change with the likes of Mzunga and callinan coming soon

Libba could be good mid cover aswell..

Joshy11

Il wait and see but if mzungu puts in 3-4 good games il get the cash from harris and have mzungu as my keeper. With backs struggling this year im happy to takes heppels 80+ until late in the season but il upgrade darling to chappy asap as he is dropping steeply :)

hardnut

Backs:Stanley/Heppell - undecided on this one

Mids: D.Swallow

Ruck: Petrie

Fwd: Petrie

I like your cover Doogie but personally love that I can cash in on Z.Smith and use Petrie to cover both lines.

Joshy11 - perma cover needs to have good js, Lynch has started well but with Dixon/Day and even Gorringe all big guys he may be rotate/rested a fair but

Hard not to have Heppel in your starting 22 isnt it when hes one of the higher averaging backmen this year...

I will be hoping to use Mzungu and Callinan as cover, once they come in

heppel is my 7th man in defence and i will probably keep stanley as the backup. Smith will stay in the team all season in the rucks and i will have jacobs, hibberd, mzungu, callinan, i smith rotating around im not keeping guys like darling and harris as i believe these guys should do a decent job.

I might end up having knights on the bench if i can afford it.

TMurphBROWNLOW

backs: puopolo, toy, otten

mids: Jacobs, mzungu, iles

rucks: smith, campbell

fwds: tapscott, lynch, richo

won't be keeping smith unless the worse scenario happens.

got him as a cow and he has produced excellent cash and will for weeks yet.
his last 2 games has reversed his BE back into the negatives.
I can't remember a ruck cow making so much cash before.

will hold him till Sandi + cox finish the byes ( unless some other pops his head up )
at almost $300 000 and rising fast, that cash will turn premium in the second half of the year

bench keepers -

backs - Duigan
Mids - Mzungu
ruck -  ? yet to be determined
fowards - Darling ( will play 22 baring injury )

all said this probably can and will change during the year unless i have a fair amount of luck.

Backs: Jacobs
Midfield: Mzungu
Ruck: Vickery (-.-)
Forward: Dixon

You all seem too keen to keep the best cash cows for mine, trade them in and take their cash, you need premiums more than solid cover IMO

Don't think you can really set in stone who will be backups at this stage, these guys are here to solely make you money and then you trade them to proven performers.  As long as you have a couple of guys who you can click emerg on, you should be sweet no matter who is covering unless of course you have LTI's or have burned all your trades.  There is more money to be made people, once that BE is reached you need to get the out.  I would even be considering trading out Heppell for a premium midfielder except I have Brodie Smith with the higher BE to get rid of, guy is pretty damn good, but was unfortunately named the sub.

i like it. i reckon i will downgrade smith for tippett then keep petrie as cover for my forwards/ruck in the case of an emergency.
