Should i trade him to poo and make a lot of cash. He wont keep going much over 300k

dale93

Keep him as a keeper :)

Fenno

He has 1 bad game and you want to trade him. Why would you even think of doing this? So if next week one of your premium players has a bad game and scores 60 are you going to trade him aswell?

woodsy6767

i want to trade him after 1 bad game cos i want the money not him as a keeper. but i guess there is noone better at this stage in the backs

Ziplock

two schools of thought on this one

1. Keep his as a 7th back until the grand final
2. Upgrade now to premium of choice

considering there are only 7/8 backs averaging over 90, and every single one has definite disadvantages, many are looking to keep heppell on the basis he has been extremely consistent.

Capper

hold, he is the 7th highest scoring back

bowyanger

I never intended him to be a keeper at the start. He is still acheiving B/E...but soon he wont and Ill be very tempted, especially as Ill have to trade him before round 24 anyways.
I cant believe his age...good on him for a great start, but that also works against him in my opinion as a keeper. Young players can be inconsistant, maybe the novelty will wear off for him soon..hes gone great guns for avoiding the devastating "General Soreness" so far.
I reckon Ill wait a few weeks....but he will be gone before Rd 21.
Trading out Heppell & ZSmith = 2 massive upgrades....they were only ever intended to be cows....never get too attached to them

Ziplock

just because they were intended as CCs doesn't automatically mean you reject their excellent scores...

bowyanger

It just means I can swap them for players that produce super duper excellent scores much easier. (not specifically in the same position).
IMO there has only been 1 CC keeper so far in the last 2 years of fantasy footy...until he snapped a leg that is.
Everyone has their own strategy and by no means is it a bad thing to trade them.

LF

really who else is scoring well enough in the backs to have instead of heppell?

Ziplock

well, there's a fair few players with a higher average (he's only scoring high because he hasn't had a bye yet), you could upgrade to like suckling, enright, gram (if you think he'll come good), fisher etc. etc.

JT23

Honestly I think this could be a good move, I dont have enough balls to do it myself tho!! here's my theory - Hibberd is basically hanging around the half back line now that he is in the team and he is basically getting all the cheap disposals heppel used to get, and now heppel is playing in more of a wing/midfield player which I'm not sure if that will suit us as dreamteam players but I want to see one more week of the two playing again and make my decision when Essendon get the bye in round 10

ronl

Once you go past Shaw and Fisher (and maybe Adcock) the backfield is a minefield littered with bodies and you don't know who's going to cop the bullet next.  If he's standing up he's good value, I'd keep Heppell until he forces you to sell him.

When he pumps out a 110 on the weekend there will be 10 threads saying is he a keeper ? I love it, great humour!

chaosAD

Sorry boys he only got 108 not 110
