Heath Grundy

I currently have mckernan and markovic in my fwd and am wondering whether bringing in Heath Grundy wud be a good idea

Would probs go hunt to Grundy (I know I know but I got him cuz he plays everyweek)
But could go lower, luke Thompson, nick duigan or even GODDARD or DUFFIELD

Currently my backline is

Gibbs, Godddard, Heppel, Duffield, Gwilt, James Frawley, Lower (duigan, luke Thompson, karmicheal hunt)


Any opinions suggestions would be kindly welcomed

1st year dream teamer Im guessing. Learn lots from you mistakes this year but I will try save you from this one. Don't trade in Grundy I know it is kinda following what others are doing but check out the boards and see who everyone is talking about because they will be talking about them for a reason. that reason is most likely because he is decent at dreamteam and well nobody is talking about Grundy.

Get in Suckling for Duffield this week and sell Duigan after this week.

Grundy is better in SC than DT. DT avg is 76 and 91 in SC. You will probably need better than that
with your backline as it stands. Id look at Suckling, Shaw, Deledio and Adcock before him to be honest.

I mite bring in lynch for hale (which wud keep petrie permanently in my ruck alongside cox, smith and jamar

Or is that a bad idea too, is there any ruck downgrade options (put Petrie in my fwd line)

Yes, I got in Grundy about this time last year I think and, boy, did I ever regret it.  It seems that as the year goes on he gets less and less dependable - maybe with the new coach things could be different but I would tread warily with him.

I would move Petrie into your forward line and Hale into your ruck and sell Hale from
that spot, you could downgrade Hale to Lobe from the Power, Lobe isnt playing yet
but leaves you with your mpp so your able to use Petrie as a ruck option still. Alot used
J Tippet GC for this purpose which is a bit silly as i doubt he'll play much if at all.
Lobe should be back this year at some stage and you can bank some money with the
trade. You probably should post your whole side so we all have some idea of your problems.
Dont worry about 1st year mistakes we all made them, i had Glass and Scarlett in my
very first year and learnt that good players dont always make good fantasy players.
Majority of people here are only to happy to help so dont be affraid to ask.
If your low on trades you may have to just leave Hale there mate, depends on that
and your whole team. Goodluck to you.

That could be a problem....
There is absolutely no point in trading hunt coz he won't make any money so just keep him on your bench and if you have nobody else then you can put him as emergency and take his score of 10.

How much money you got in the bank? If you have some cash then upgrade Duigan to someone (best avg you can afford). If you have to downgrade duigan to get some money then trade Lower to Deledio.

How you doing in your league?
You will need a minimum of 8 trades for the last 10 rounds of the season to cover injuries etc so be very stingy with your trades.

dw buddy you're not alone! I traded in Grundy for franklin after round 3 last year. my knowledge of dreamteam was absolutely nothing until the start if this year :) hahaha you learn from your mistakes and look back on pathetic trades made in past years :P

An yeah 7th with 2 wins 3 losses but have easily played the more difficult teams and I only lost to dr dt by 30 because I had curnow captain (solid 26 for me.....)

Ummm also bit of a mates league so we dont care much about the randoms just us and currently I'm sencond to a guy that's 5th becuz he has playe the people who average 1300, 1400, 1500

You have K Hunt in your side so why am I talking to you? Well I also have Grundy and I am also having regrets but of late I am warming to him especially with his 102 LW. If you are after a safe 80 or so well get him as he has only had one shower score in 51 and I am starting to have him about my 19th or 20th player. He should be gone out of my team by round 15/16.
