Enright overrated?

Anyone else think everyone seems to be overrating Enright this year?

Don't get me wrong, Enright is a gun... However I think he's not going that great...

After rd2 I had to get rid of Waters (LTI) and Simon Buckley (thought he was gone for the year)

I chose to get in Libba (over Curnow) because I could only get Enright if I went for Libba... I chose to not pick up Adcock being a Lions supporter I swear he must only play 1 game a year, it's so frustrating he's injured all the time but I digress

Since doing this I have disliked two decisions:
1) Choosing Libba over Curnow just so I could get Enright
2) Enright's output ever since I got him in for rd 3

Sure he started well over the first two rounds but it's as if Enright has tired out since...

Since round two he has only averaged 76.2

Huge bit of research. I'm now nervy about having picked him up for Duigan. Wish I still had Duigan... disappointing as at the time I thought I was getting the best defender I didn't have, and in 2 weeks since I'd have Heath Shaw and even Suckling ahead of him.

I've never picked up Enright and do think he is over rated in general and especially this year. When you throw in the bye in the finals it's a big fat no thanks from me! In fact even with the moderate 76.2 avg at lot of those points have come late in games and he's looked like picking up <50 scores, what happens if/when the Cats lose a couple of games?

Exactly what I was thinking in terms of Enright. That and his bye during the finals put me off... glad I went for Deledio and Shaw.

His scores after a tag last year scared me off him this year. I'm not sure about over rated though...he's been quality dt back men for years now. I think scott's more defensive game plan plus the forward press being implemented by other teams stops has affected his cheap possessions and junk time.

Over rated? Half the dt back men are over rated this season so it's hard to single Enright out...

so many threads about getting enright [ when people were sick of bruce's scores, injuries to broughts and grimes and now duff since he's fallen off the pace] he's scored poorly in a few games and now everyone's saying i told you so. were you the same people who said to get him ? geez hindsight is a wonderful thing eh? i would say about 80-90% of posts were in his favor. yeah he's not going great guns atm but there are'nt too many others

I never commented or told anyone to get any backmen. Virtual Sports should just allow us to not bother with backmen this year and wipe them from the competition.

I'd be happy with teams of Mids, Rucks and Forwards.

Yep, me too. I managed to get J. Stanley instead though... didn't even think about the fact that there could be two Stanley's in the same team... Smith maybe, but bloody Stanley?! Ended up having to trade Toy in for him, so I'm pretty peeved I've missed out :(

Enright rarely scores well in big wins for the Cats, never has.

Against Port none of the Cats defenders scored well as the ball was nearly constantly in Geelong's forward half; similar story for the North game too. His midfield time is non-existent, which really limits his ability to score when Geelong dominates. 

Personally I thought he played well against the Pies on Friday, although that didn't translate into DT.
