Wouldn't you get Smith first before Mzungu? Then get Mzungu on the bubble when one of your GC cash cows have peaked (either Harris or Matera).

I'd get both :D

Probably get Smith this week (if named) and Mzungu next week :D

I traded out Harris last week, two weeks of not earning cash zzzz. I traded him to Mundy and this week am going Tapscott/Matera > Smith (if not named it'll be Mzungu) and Foley > Boyd

Giving me a midfield of: Swan, Pendles, T-Rock, Redden, Mundy and Boyd :)

and only 1-2 more upgrades needed with 12 trades left. I'm keen to get these guys in ASAP as my mid and fwd cows have more or less peaked or aren't getting games: Irons, Matera, Tapscott and Dixon.

My other two have played under 3 games (Hibberd and Jacobs)

Yeah I don't think there's a team out there who wouldn't find all of Smith, Mzungu, and Callinan attractive options once they're on the bubble. I need to sub a MID/FOR out of my forward line because it's choc-full of talent. This week is a good time I feel so Smith it is (probably for Curnow but maybe Bewick if he gets dropped), but if Smith himself is dropped then probably just go Mzungu also.

Nice midfield by the way, I'm a Mundy fan and went close to getting Rawlings instead of Heath Shaw so I could squeeze in Curnow -> Mundy. Decided against it but still keen on Mundy for sure!

+1
i would think this would make more sense

Smith on the bubble this week, so even if mzungu is 2-3 weeks away from afl, that means it will be 5 weeks before he is on the bubble. So smith can make you 4-5 pay rises worth of coin until then (if he plays all games that is) i would say that is a handy 100k for just waiting!

Well, something like that anyway :)

As an aside I'm working in Africa and the locals refer to ME as Mzungu, it's a Swahili word for foreigner (read white guy). Not sure how Tendai ended up with that surname.

Another bit of useless knowledge, nerver know when it will com up in trivial pursuit.. :P

Problems

Wow! Have never seen so many people keen to trade in a player that is a rookie and is coming back from an injury! Hoping he brings in the goods whenever he gets a game in may/june!

Mzungu was more a of a must have than Swan until he got injured. Hence we're all so keen.

He's a gunnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.

Yeah I saw him in NAB Cup against Crows in Adelaide, he was a ball magnet, he will definitely get in my team when I think the time is right

"Injuries are crippling Fremantle to the point where recruit Tendai Mzungu could return from a knee injury and be injected straight into the senior side."

Who says that Mzungu will be as good as he was before.

who says he won't be :P

In all probability, he'll start slow as he recovers fully, then come out flying.
