Is this guy going to be  DT Stud or a DT Dud?

I traded this Chap in, aginst my better judgement of gettign in PAP players and players with 0 games in the bank.  I can see why he is an appealing DT'r.

A.  He kicks even when the target is <5 meters from him.
B.  When he does kick, you can almost guarantee it will be kicked back in his general vicinity.

On the downside (sic) he falls over at every contests or gets bumped off the ball even with a Montagna v Curnow ferocity.  Be warned, i dont see his JS being great after that performance and will need  BIG game 2 if he gets one.

Fenno

It was his first game he will get better. His JS should be pretty good cause well who else does port have.

good to see ppl arent being swayed by his score...

clearly going to be a solid player for port and cover for our benches...

Chopps

i dont think u can make to bigger judgement based on one game plus he is just that a rookie

RiOtChEsS

watched the game and all that really seemed to be missing was his touch...

dropped a few marks had couple fumbles and shanked a few kicks 14 touches 5 marks couldve easily been 20 and 8

his kicking efficiency was at 40% which is a bit worrying but it was his first game and nerves probably would play a part. port will a least pump a few games before re-evaulating and he should be a safe bet.

jeffbutch

i thought he played a good first game. you could see by his disposal he was nervous.
will wait anpther week before i pick him up.

Yeh I'm tossing up between him and Puopolo for a Stanley downgrade this week. Will probably go Puopolo if he's named just because he'll be on the bubble.

Therefore he was high quality for Port Adelaide, they'd be loving the fact he was as high as 40% in their team.

was prolly as good as any other port player. playing in defence with the number of in50's against syd i thought he did ox first up

bundyboy

didn't really look like he belonged...decision making and kicking terrible. - but that said, he will probably stay in Port's team since they are so low on quality players anyway..

for downgrade - Pop or Hibberd this week to consider - but it's all about JS for bench players, and whether I rate him or not, I think Jacobs might have the best security of these 3  :-\

Davoo

its his first game! i agree his decisions were awful and caused a lot of turnovers but hed of been hell nervous and he'll only get better. i think he will stay in their side anyway!

Who wouldn't be nervous in their first match in front of a 'big' crowd playing for an AFL club and has a lot of pressure on him because of the hype.

He has been playing at SANFL level and below all his life. Give him a break. "
