I along with 47000 other suckers fell in love with cyril rioli after johno brown smashed his face in 100 bits.

Ive held onto him thinking he'll come back beastier than ever until i read an article in the herald sun.

Basically, clarkson wants to play cyril up fwd permanently with no time in the midfield.

So what i wanna get everyones thoughts on is, is this going to be as disastrous for his numbers as it sounds?

yeah they will be babying him as much as possible...

Weagle

He's just not worth the risk now... injury prone + reduced or no midfield time = trade out

its a shame because when he was able to play a full midfield game he was fantastic

if that's clarko's plan - then very sad day for DT'ers.....

but not me  ;D

Sleeken

Argh I'm in trouble then...only 15 trades left and still have to get rid of Grimes =/.

I actually do not think it will affect his score at all, if anything I think it will get better. Why? Rioli runs around left right and centre no matter where you put him and top that with some nice foward pocket snap goals. It was for this reason of the permanent move to FWD I am considering him as there are not many to choose from this year.

Marcz has a point on being baby handled but its Rioli..don't think he will hold back. :)

Maybe next year if he can finally put his injury concerns behind him.

Same boat as Higgins for me

i agree with misspies
he had limited midfield time last year and still scored fine.i am keeping him.he is a tackling machine in the hawks forward 50.

Bluke

If you've got him, keep him. But i wouldnt trade him in

That is the exact reason Clarky has put him in FWD, although he can run amok in the mid he goes in way to hard and hence the injuries. Rioli is a small FWD always has been. He shines there.

it was always going to be a hard gig getting into the hawks midfield. hodge, sammy, jnr burger, lewis, sewell, shiels etc.
