who in their right mind backs a draw.....
A lot of people do. I heard a guy from one of the betting agencies mention that they have people who like every week put $5 or $10 on the draw for every game, every round. They were offering odds of $67. Usually those people always lose out with so few draws in a season, but this year....

Although I imagine the odds for a draw have come down this year as a result?

lol, have you seen how many draws there are this season? I've got a mate who's just been putting about 5 bucks on a draw for each closely matched opponent, and he's quite a lot ahead :P

This season yes, but not in previous seasons... I wonder if the stupid sub-rule has got something to do with it.

Ziplock

^ that's what my assumption was, I'm guessing that because a single injury won't affect the 'freshness' of a team overall as much, and with the higher rate of interchange turn over, rather than teams who have some very good skillfully or maybe short burst players, just dominating, it levels them out just purely on fitness.

You only used to need 3 draws a year to come out in front. Now the odds are lower for games that are more likely to be close, and it would take 4 draws.

Anyone keen for the Saints at $4.40 to make the top 8 this year?????

CrowsFan

Depends if you can see them turning their form around. 3 games outside the 8 a third of the way through, they would need to really find their form again. Could be a good bet though.

I would prefer either Brisbane (3.25) or Port Adelaide (3.50) for wooden spoon

LaHug

I assume GC is still favourite for the spoon? I wouldn't take Brisbane as I think they'll win a few at the Gabba when Brown is back. Port is interesting though...

K Hunt is paying $1.87 Under/Over 24.5 DT points this week. What would y'all do?

CrowsFan

I say over. Just...

roo boys!

LaHug

I'd have thought under. Shouldn't see much of the ball with Geelong dominating and would probably give away three or so free kicks minimum in marking contests. Might get a few tackles, but not enough.
