Boy oh boy oh boy I have gone insane again!

I'm actually, believe it or not, considering bringing IN Jared Brennan

I'm largely/somewhat tempted to go Foley/Harris > Brennan. We all know it can take a gun to find his feet in a brand new team which it seemed like Brennan struggled with early. If you discount his 33 vs Carlton (1st game with GCS) which EVERYONE low scored in for GCS then he's averaging 101.6.

Like I said above it takes a few games... so if you consider the first 3 games as "getting used to my new players" games he's averaging a whopping 115!

I know what you're all thinking "omg this spud is inconsistent if you get him in he'll go back to knocking out 60s every 2nd week"

However, I think to quote myself:

"He was inconsistent for the Lions as one week he was in the backline then the forwards the next week and then all of a sudden he was in the mids the week after and the week after that he was the ruckman.

He should be a lot more consistent this year with one simple role, not 4 different ones over 4 weeks which he had at the Lions."

Now with all this considered I can honestly seeing him averaging 105+ It's not like all his good scores were against spud teams (he knocked out 118 vs the bombers)

Have I gone insane? Good trade? High risk high reward?

DPP is a huge benefit too

EDIT: Two stars :D

Dont do it, GC will have to many @ss kickings to rely on their premiums.
Riski is the only one i would even think about ...& only think about.

Remember they played brisbane last week a team that has not one a game.

Brennan is at the top of the list of "down hill skiers" brings his game against crap sides and go's missing against every1 else

Nails

yeah I know they're going to get spanked... but even in those spankings he has started to score alright

e.g. 118 vs the Bombers and we all know how that game turned out for the Suns...

Don't do it to yourself Nails - I would go Goodes, Pav, Sylvia or Chappy with DPP before Brennan.

Last weekend he went head to head with Rocky who paid him no attention at all, he will cop a tag in the future due to how damaging he is and won't get those numbers very often, if at all

brennan could be anything really. but consistent is not one of them!

Another thing is he always misses a game or 2. He will definately not average anywhere near 100. i wouldnt eventrust him to average 90, as history will tell you he never has

bundyboy

oh...I have crazy thoughts like that occasionally too......

but I keep kicking myself and reminding myself that mid positions are for premium premiums only - and no matter which way you look, he is not that.

BUT......... might be really worth considering as a fwd.....not too many looking much better - and inconsistency is what you get with just about all fwds this year - even Chappy showed that last week !!

Hope he has a crappy game soon so that I can think about that as an option too.....

He'd mainly sit in my mids cause I have no mid/fwd link at the moment but I'd swap him with Higgins into fwds whilst Higgins is out and once I get Callinan/Mzungu in he's a fair chance to be a permanent fwd... I don't know I'm nearly salivating at the mouth now.

He never averaged 90 because he was inconsistent because every single round he was playing a role different to the one he played previous... This week with a consistent role should see him increase in skill...

Not sure Nails dont think i would put in Brennan but you never know with DT

I must admit I have had a look at Brennan as an option.  I just can't bring myself to do it.

Its the old case of risk vs reward.  It is a big risk to bring him in but you would be confident that he will be unique.

If you were going to bring him in the surely it would have to be in the forward line.  Forwards this year have been more up and down than normal.

He has the potential to score really big but also really low so not much different than what most forwards are doing already this season

Nails

Problem is my forward line is well.. kind of, but not totally but sorta set...

Goodes, Franklin, N. Voldt, Stevie J, Knights, Petrie and Higgins

If I were to get rid of any of those it'd have to be for Chapman/Sylvia.

I think Brennan could average close to 100 this year though.

If I don't get Brennan in this week he'll rise ~21K and not be such great value anymore hmmm
