Swan V Boyd for this weeks Captain

Swan at MCG against pies
Boyd at Etihad against tigers

BillMurray

This decision is driving me nuts..

Swan would be the sensible choice given his record against the cats but I'm very worried that Melbourne's weather could have the last laugh in tonights game. Boyd's record is poor v the tigers but his form of late is better than Swan's and has the joy of playing under a roof.

Who is everyone going with? Really need a bit of help  :-\ ...ta

BillMurray

Oh yeah, both votes & comments welcome  8) cheers

thanme

This is killing me too :P I'm playing Dr Dream Team, who has both, and I'm thinking Boyd for the x factor, but last time I opted against swanny, I lost by less than the difference in points from my captain choice.
I have a feeling it won't make a huge difference who you pick, but this is DT after all. I know that doesn't help, sorry :P
For me, I'm sitting on Swan at the moment.

I'm in same boat, my opponent has Swan but not Boyd so If i go boydy C and he pulls like a poultry 85 or something i get double owned. Thinking that maybe if i just go Swan C (almost 100% he will too) then I can just back my other matchups to get me over the line. It's just that if it really starts hissing rain tonight, Swan score (along with my other players) could be disastrous... :'(

soooo confused haha

elephants

yeah same predicament for me. i may go the safe bet and take swanny :)

I am in the same boat as Bill, my opponent in my main cash league doesn't have Boyd but does have Swan.

I am going to punt on Boyd - he isn't getting tagged due to Cooney and Griffen being more damaging with their disposal and is as you say, under the roof at his favourite ground

elephants

changed my mind hah, BOYD for 150+

BillMurray

@dockerone; yeah I think I'm going to back my initial though process and stick with Boyd as C like your doing and just swallow the pain if Swan somehow goes ballistic tonight. I think Boyd is actually the safer of the two in this moment in time but we'll soon see i guess   ;)

Please keep voting btw!

problem is the dome can be a restricter to free trade ie DT points. I reckon if Boyd played on the G he'd eclipse Swan

Swan at the MCG against Geelong

+1
Boyd's average is terrific under the roof.
Plus there are plenty of players that have scored big at Etihad over recent times (Montagna for one belted out a string of 140+ efforts there last year from memory).

BillMurray

haha my bad, should say Cats obviously... :P

I know Boyd has been gunning it but everyone does know that he struggles against the tigers don't you? The Tigers aren't easy beats anymore and wouldn't even surprise me if they beat the doggies. Richmond also have some decent taggers so is Boyd really that good an option?
