Which defender to pick?

i need to pick up a defender......

carlton have the bye this weekend, so down gibbs and duigan. josh toy got dropped, while andy otten is injured.

so gonna trade out andy otten. got lots of money cos gonna downgrade curnow for smith from hawthorn.

so which defender do i pick
a) Heath Shaw $358k
b) Chris Newman $301k (surely good value)
c) Andrew Mackie $290k (good value?)
d) other, suggestions?!?!?

If you don't already have Enright, get him.

Otherwise, H Shaw OR Newman for me.

Newman at $301K looks very tempting.

Agree on Enright but Newman not scoring high enough and has 2 byes to come. Rawlings missing a final is counting massively against him for me. Because it's such a tough choice I'm downgrading to Ben Jacobs I think. But if you're considering someone Grimes' price, how about Suckling?
