hey, i need some help in for what i should do for this up and coming week.. i am sitting 293rd overall and i am looking to improve on that... only problem being i have grimes and i think if i want to improve in rankings i need him gone for someone good...
my team as it stands.....

Backline:
Deledio, Adcock, Heppell, Goddard, Lower, Toy, Puopolo (Gibbs, Grimes, Otten)

Midfield:
Swan, Pendlebury, Cotchin, Fyfe, Harris, Swallow (Judd, Atley, Hibberd)

Rucks:
Sandilands, Cox (Smith, Bailey)

Forwards:
Franklin, J.Riewoldt, Tapscott, N.Riewoldt, Petrie, Rioli, Higgins (Darling, Matera, Richardson)

i have good multi-positional players all across the ground. one being if higgins goes out for anymore games, swap him with fyfe and get a good premium in the midfield....

what are your thoughts? what rookies should i cash in on and who should i pick up?
all i know is Grimes has to go....

kampf

Cameron Pederson from North looks a good downgrade - playing his 3rd game this week (if named - although he deserves to be). Not sure about his JS though - look what happened to C. Richardson (no idea what to do with him at the moment!).

Nothing really special in the back that I'd rate now... maybe Murphy (DPP)? or dare I say it, Heath Shaw. Although you don't have C. Enright!

How many trades do you have left?

HotTiges

how much cash do you have left over.. if enough, grab Enright for Grimes

willim

20 trades and about 20k the most expensive i can get for a straight swap with Grimes is Rivers....but dont want him.... what rookie should i downgrade to get some money - matera/darling/tapscott to smith or swallow harris to some cheapy or toy/otten to someone?

That is a pretty bad ass team with the best mid pricers, and you only used 4 trades!  congrats

I really see 3 options:

1. Do nothing, and accept that 30-50SC from Toy as a sub.  Next week you can upgrade Grimes > Enright for about 15k cheaper and getting funds by going Matera > Smith (if he is named again and will be on bubble)

2. Just bring in someone like B. Jacobs early, and upgrade Grimes to a premium like Enright

Otten > B. Jacobs
Grimes > Premium Defender (Enright, Fisher, etc).

Really up to you..

I say be ballsy your Mids are strong, but look at upgrading Harris or Swallow next week to Mundy/Boyd they are Averaging 120-130

Thats 50 PPG higher than Swallow/Harris over 12 rounds that is 600 points

I would go Shaw/Enright in defense, Shaw more of a risk and Scotland is a great unique in DEfense with MPP ability after this weeks bye

what about grimes for murphy and then otten or matera down to someone?

not keen on those defenders, you should really be going for fisher, enright, adcock, shaw, newman, those types.   the forwards rookies are dismal, think your better off waiting 1 more week to have a better look at I. Smith and how he fits in with Rioli back.

Unless you want to go the Patrick/Lynch route whcih I don't recommend.

I think I might stay away from people with byes in the last four rounds or should I go for one because I'm so close to overall.  I am going for overall so should I enright shaw or Newman

Depends how strong your league is.  With your team and ranked <300, I doub't its going to matter if you bring in a couple of guys who are in finals.

Newman still has 2 byes to come, so I wouldn't go this option unless your budget only allowed ~420k.

I think Enright is the best option out of that lot, and is really underpriced right now.  He also has a pretty decent record against Collingwood (MCG) whereas Shaw is not too flattering against Geelong.

Oh, another option is Sam Fisher, if you really really want to avoid teams in finals.  Looks to be playing loose in defense.

Did you do the upgrades?
