Curnow>Pendles and Grimes>Jacobs

Am thinking about doing the double trade depending on jacobs being named

This would allow me to swing heppell into the backline, and l think once jacobs is named his JS will be good

Have considered using hibberd if named, however dont think his JS will be as good (even though l think he will do very well once given a decent run.......am an essendon supporter and would actually prefer him in the team than mcveigh......but cant see that happening)

Thoughts........

Everyone thought Hibberd would be a permanent member of the Essendon side (he and Heppell were meant to be your two top rookies), but he doesn't look the goods. Jacobs looks good but if you can afford to put Grimes on your bench for a week (Curnow was going to be there with the bye anyways), it might be worth waiting. Pendles has a high B/E so it might be worth waiting.

Yep, very nice call. So long as Jacobs gets named, as you said. Agree he should have good JS in the rabble that is Port Adelaide. And prefect timing to bring in Pendles, after the Pies' 1st bye.
My point would be: Why wait? More points from gun players means more league wins & higher overall ranking.
Also, agree on your call re. Hibberd. Reckon he's a young player, who's ready to play AFL, and has significant upside.
McVeigh is HUGELY overrated. If I was a Bombers fan, I would want the last remaining deadwood cleared out of such an exciting, up & coming team, which has serious claims to a top 4 spot.

I sill hope Hibbo get's up and plays some more games....

yep...don't mind the trades as long as jacobs is actually named...

hibberd / jacobs.....I'm waiting on both to get some game time,....

I'm either doing this trade, or:

Grimes -> Heath Shaw
Curnow -> Rischitelli

Getting Pendlebury after his 2nd bye. Don't know what's best for my team... a tough one. But I do think Curnow is a seller and earlier the better because mids is where it's won or lost.

Thanks for the feedback fellas,

am going to go ahead with the trade on friday arvo (if jacobs named)

unless someone can convert me to another line of thinking

langej

If Jacobs is named i think he will be a Monty to wear the Green vest.  Will that effect your decisions?
