that leaves your backline far too weak, especially for this round. I think just do the upgrade to shaw for now, then trade curnow to pendles in a few weeks when pendles price dips/

no it won't. if he does grimes -> Jacobs and curnow -> pendlebury, he will then swap Jacobs with Goddard making his field backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Enright, Adcock, Heppell, Stanley and his mids: Swan, Pendlebury, Boyd, Selwood, Swallow, Harris.

seems decent enough for me ;)

Thanks heaps for the feedback, fellas. Yes, obviously the point in getting Jacobs is to swap Goddard (or Heppell, whatever), into my backline essentially giving me an upgrade. I can do this at any point and I'd prefer to do it when Hibberd/Jacobs actually play their 3rd game, but this week seems like a good excuse to do it... especially when it gives me enough coin to get the best midfielder in Pendlebury? Rischitelli is a good pick, but not a no brainer like as Pendlebury seems to be.

I'll edit the poll to include this option.

just food for thought, you'd be better off waiting a few weeks for pendlebury to go down 10-20k and curnow's price will stay like that for a while so you don't lose anything, just gain a bit.

also, if you're not too keen on trading in jacobs because he hasn't played, you can always hold cuz grimes price wont move either :)

Ziplock

well, you do  lose the 50 odd points a week by fielding what I presume is a rookie rather than pendles.

Oh I need plenty of food for thought :P I think the point on Pendlebury is rather moot, 10-20k isn't much when he's averaging 125 and his b/e this week is 110... he'll probably score that, then look at his next few fixtures (Adelaide, Melbourne, West Coast? he's not going down going up!). I wait a few weeks, then Curnow is closer to coming back, then I'm waiting until Pendlebury's 2nd bye, and then I'm missing out on his points that whole time. I know how this goes after not starting with Ablett in the past couple of seasons...

Also not doing anything with Grimes does leave my backs weak particularly when a few of them have byes coming up (Gibbs this week). I'm sick of the cash cows pulling me scores under 60 in my starting line-up, there's enough space on the bench for cash cows to bludge. I've got McKernan & Toy to downgrade after this weekend to Jacobs anyway.

But I appreciate the food for thought, Curnow only being out for 3 weeks would be the only thing making me hold him. I think it'll be more like 5-6 weeks though.

TMurphBROWNLOW

if he's out for 4, it'll take him at least 2-3 weeks to start making you some money!

its 110 according to FF Genie. there are many variations i dont think you can pinpoint what the exact breakeven is.

Ziplock

well, if someone has the assistant coach they can...?

Pendles BE in Assistant Coach is 102, projecting 108, 113 & 135 the next 3 rounds...

how much more can he rise D;

Ziplock

really? That low?

and I don't really care about the projections, it's just guess work I could do as well :P

mmmm, if it's that low I would not like to bet against him failing to achieve it. However, it means if he scores sub 100, he'll be in for a massive price drop next round.

joshas182

After this round, projecting he gets his BE of 102 it jumps to 154 & 138 next 2 rounds before dropping down to 108.
Is "projected" to drop down $13,200 by end of Rd10....all according to Assistant Coach...hope this helps/confuses people

Ziplock

goddam, that's nowhere near as low as I would have hoped... I was hoping for like a 30k drop :P
