Exactly my thinking. I'll be downgrading Curnow to Smith/Jacobs to free up a ton of cash then boosting Grimes to H. Shaw. He is the perfect candidate; although i hate his guts, opposition teams can't tag him every week (too many pies players to focus on), racks it up basically from full back to centre field and plays in the best team by a long margin. Done and done...

I too have the problem of these guys, am thinking of going to Newman for Grimes given I dont have any cash to upgrade him unless I trade Duigan to someone like Hibberd or Puopolo? What is everyones thoughts on this?

Will Hibberd/Puopolo get much of a run this year? I prefer Hibberd for the DPP.

I'd even go someone like Ben Jacobs, he'll surely be considered this week, and will have much better JS than Puopolo & Hibberd.

Im doing the reverse, grimes to jacobs and curnow to selwood, than im picking up enright for stanley the week after.

I too would get Jacobs....But it would leave my defense to weak. I have had Bruce on the pine and it's time to move him along.

Looking at getting a couple of semi-guns (Kennelly & Murphy or something like that)

Not to keen, I might just trade Grimes and sit for a week for a fallen premium to snaffle up.

Wait till Jacobs plays 2, the cows will fatten up and it would be a perfect trade in.

everyone jumping on jacobs ??  and hasn't played yet...??

doesnt matter he will be playing soon, plays for a bottom 4 team and from indications should scroe very well. Heppel didnt score that much in the NAB yet from past stats many still took him and he has proved to be a great pick. Jacobs looks like he is in a simular postion to that, no real scores to back up his game but with the potential and the fact he is DPP and we have 3 bench players than why not. Probably better than a guy like puopolo.

He started the year with scores of 75 and 65? He's looking to me like an MCG specialist - and the Pies play ALOT of games at the MCG...

Im keeping Grimes for at least this weekend. Gram on the way down so should be able to straight swap him this week or next. Otherwise ill get shaw - he wont score to well this weekend IMO so should halt his rise a little and drop in value a bit hopefully.
