Getting to the halfway stage of the season, and therefore your team should be taking shape nicely (well we hope!). Anyway, give your current team with the players you want to trade out & want to get in. Discuss trades and team planning... :)

Abett, Judd, J Selwood, Kornes, Griffen, Rich (Robinson, Anthony)

Cox, Sandilands

Riewoldt, Chapman, Deledio, O'Keefe, Goodwin, M Brown, Dowler (Macaffer, Hogan)

Currently 10 trades left

**Unsure if I will upgrade Houlihan or Grimes yet, could turn into keepers

So basically my upcoming trades over next few weeks should/will be:
Robinson-> Muston
Rich-> Premium (Power/McVeigh/Cooney/Edwards/Lewis/???)
THEN
M Brown -> Ballentyne
Dowler -> Buddy/Gia/J Brown

These trades will complete my midfield and basically complete forward line.
ATM I'm not to fussed about backline as I've already got the 3 main scores in that position- Cornes/Goddard/Drummond.

Anyway, enough of me- share your team and tell us how well/or bad your team is shaping up...

Got 11 trades left which planning on using in 5 double trades with Graham, Joseph, Rance and 2 of Cheney/Warren/Brown being the downgrades used to provide the $$ to upgrade Waite -> Drummond, Skippy/Ziebell -> Roo, Raines -> <Premium>, Rich -> <Premium> and Brown/Higgins -> <Premium>. Pity this will take the whole 9 weeks to implement and of course it is all barring injury as I have just found out with Waite only just traded him in last week for Hoops only to have to waste a trade to get Drummond.

Ones underlined I've given up on as dead wood, seeing as they are not getting games and not worth sideway trading them for playing rookies.

Abblett in for Otten when he bottoms out, will sit on 6 trades for a while hoping for Higgins, Hodge, Hurley, gilbee to come good.

Maybe one more upgrade pending injuries maybe Roo up forward or Newman down back depending on best value.

Take 4 trades into finals, maybe upgrade ruck then.

Im sure it will all go to shower and I'll suffer for not keeping trades with a long way to go!

McIntosh, Kreuzer

Riewoldt, Higgins, Franklin, Deledio, O'Keefe, Ziebell, Pavlich (Macaffer, Walker)

$180k bank. Only 8 trades left. Otten to Muston this week to give me some cash.

In future weeks: Hill to an undervalued mid-defender (P. Burgoyne, Mattner, etc). Replace Cornes if its bad (Drummond, Lockyer). As I approach finals, i'll use whatever cash I need to bring in Ablett or something to replace Ball or Rich. I dont think I cant afford that trade now, and its not completely necessary.
Kreuzer to Cox for the finals. Same with Ziebell - whoever.

Hill, Cornes and Otten before the finals - 4-5 left for the finals.

I did a bit of planning for my long term team last night.

My team is currently:

M: Ablett, Bartel, Selwood, Gibbs, Rich, Muston, Couglan, Tuck

R: Cox, Kreuzer, Spencer, Jacobs

F: Franklin, Delidio, Chapman, S. Johnson, Sidebottom, Ziebell, Higgins, Skipworth, MacAffer

I've got 10 trades left and $292K cash, and I'm considering the following upgrades prior to finals:

Hill/Grimes - Hodge
Raines - Ellis
Rich - Pendlebury/Montanya/Hayes/Dal Santo
Couglan - see above
Tuck - rookie
Skippy - rookie/gun depending on the cash situation.

What do people think of this strategy?

FWD Riewoldt, Pavlich, Deledio, Fev, McGlynn, Mitch Brown, Sidebottom (Daniher, W Thompson)

Got 540,000 in the bank and 5 trades.

Plan is to upgrade Hill to Hodge or something and Mitch Brown to a premium. Maybe Stevie J or Chapman if he looks like he may stay healthy. Otherwise maybe Gia?

Undefeated so far, so as long as we don't lose in the next few weeks, should be looking great when Cornes comes back
