I wish Simon well in his battle with depression, and congratulate him for having the courage to seek assistance for this terrible condition. (my wife has it)
Statistically, there would be a few other AFL players either not game to go public, or are unaware that they have it. Mental disease has been the elephant in the room for years now, and is still misunderstood by many, though it is getting better.
Hopefully Simon will back in the park very soon.

Indeed bunyip, I reckon everyone has or knows someone with depression, and the mental illness stigma is lessening (rightly) of late.

Here's hoping for a quick recovery
