Second Year player and I wish I had found this forum last year.

Aiming for League win and stay in top 10k (Currently 8498)  Have $162 in bank but only 16 trades left due to 4 forced injury trades. Also currently second in League.

Current Team (Obviously taking into consideratio Collingwoods bye)

Backs: Delidio; Gibbs; Adcock; Goddard; Grimes; Lower; Otten (Hibberd, Stanley,Batchelor)

Mids: Mundy; Cyrnow; Cotchin; Bolton; Libba; Selwood (Swan; Swallow;Helbig)

Rucks Sandy; Ottens (Smith McAuley)

Forwards Fyfe; Pavlich; Franklin; Nick Roo; Darling; Krakouer; Petrie (Tappscott Matera Dixon)

Strategy over the next few weeks downgrade 4 Rookies who reach close to B/e and upgrade to prems eg Pendles after Collingwoods second bye; possibly Chappy if he maintains form and injury free if not Judd; Didak/J Brown depending on form at time and a premium back thus using 8 trades.

This will then leave me 8 trades to cover finals and or injuries.

Thoughts on whether I should sideways Ottens to Cox now or wait till Geelongs bye in finals.

Any advice welcome and thanks in advance.

Keep hold of ottens for the moment, he is playing well and has an average over 100, which I think makes him worthwhile to hold onto. Save the trade until finals time and pick the best scoring alternative to sideways trade too then

nice looking team but i'd be holding onto those trades for my life.

if you have rookies that you must cash in on then just cop some hits in the league (assuming you'll be in top 8 comfortably) and use the cash closer to finals. 8 trades for half a season of footy is just not enough, which you should know if you've already had 4 injury forced trades.

Just to clarify I still have 16 trades to do and will be looking at doing 8 up to finals progressively and then hoping to have 8 available for finals subject to injuries.
